With beanstalk brute, some luck, and a full herald you could get 2 18 drops for only 1 mana each.. The absolute power.. definitely must nerf this before its too late.
So sad other al akir had to be dismissed for this.

it probably caps out at 10 cost like evolves do. that’s how i’d do it if i was blizzard at least. or at least find the closest next lowest cost minion if there’s none at the cost it’s supposed to be at. that would be best i guess.
But those don’t cap at 10. They can go to 11+. It’s on Blizz to actually print an 11 cost card tho.
Theres ultrasaur.. but you’re better off manipulating instant multiverse to get ultrasaur than try to figure out how to give akir 11 attack.
So balanced and fun. Good to see Blizzard devs treat every class exactly the same, and never plays favorites.
Dont worry mage will get some herald cards down the line and shaman will get some dragon soup cards and everyone can live happily ever after.

Never print dumb mana cheat cards. Good to see we dont have any of those now that we have a fresh rotation 
If you are fighting for Board you are going to have your hands full with Shaman after rotation. They gave them back healing rain and are giving them massive board based synergy.
I’m not as afraid of shaman this coming expansion as what will happen at the end of the year when they got even more cards.
At least in the coming expansion they are losing…

-hagatha, including most of the cards that make up the current hagatha shaman deck (wish, frosty decor, tourist and related cards, fairy tale forest)
-the mini murloc
-asteroid and incindius stuff, heck even starship shaman used to be a thing and that’s leaving
Their new cards look good, but they’ll need to do a lot of heavy lifting to make up for the losses.
It’s later in the year once more cards are released that we’ll really feel how powerful shamans can be.
So, Al’Akir does have that 8 mana, and can get you two more 8 mana minions if Herald’d. You could make a board with Merithra? I guess? Still seems half as good as what some other classes are going to be doing 3 turns earlier.
