New archetypes get owned by old ones

Just faced a control priest with my new reborn deck. Infinite heal, Medihvh, 8 board clears, cease to exist. Is there a certain way you need to play or is it gg from the start?

Stealth rogue feels completely unplayable

Ya kinda right, i checked hsguru this morning and there is nothing new exploding up the board from the miniset, usually you see something by this point, some indication, but i aint seeing it.

But give it sime time and simething might emerge

Part of it is that people overrate way too much the copy pasting of decks of others. They usually even go whole weeks or even whole seasons with a tier B deck being considered tiar A or tier S because they lack imagination to stop copy pasting.

Part of the problem is they also wait for 10,000 samples (even ~100 would be enough for a start) so the copy pasters self-feed into their illusion that the best decks are only the most overplayed.

Yeah feels like is all garbage, only kazakus and pirates with some support in the future are decent , nice dust though

Baaaaaaaait post definitely

The pirates can be dirty when they highroll vs the right deck but do we really want another aggro deck? I dont think so. No support for it pls.

You are the reason game is never balanced.

You when the game is balanced:

New cards have to be powerfull hurdur. Meta has to change hurdur

And when they are:
Too OP Nerf Plox.

We literally had a decent balance patch some days ago. If that stuff does 0 impact i gonna still be happy.

In other words. Stop being a dopamine addict.

Stop defending the state of the Game over and over , meta is one of the worsts ever and the new cards are really bad , thats a fact , ik in forums people complain about eeeeeeverything but come on , is Blizzard paying you? like ,in every post you’re defending the company with ur soul, people complaining because the Game is not ok.

Only for idiots who can only have fun wasting other people time. For then i sure It is the worst since you can’t deny the entire early game with a single card.

For people who like to play a game It gone from almost unplayable to meh since rotation. What is progress.

The new priest cards seem to be more like support cards you can sub into existing decks than having your whole deck build around it… at least for now. One thing about reborn is that it just happens to be a bad match to priest’s own medivh and silence and having heal to endure.

Pirate warrior cards are aggro-ish, but I think they aren’t strong enough to go full aggro yet. Cannoneer does have late game potential if control warrior does better. I manged to pull off big cannon turns today but both against slow opponents.

Stealth rogue is like pirate warrior stuff. You can aggro but there is potential for late game fancy stuff, or just support existing decks. The 2 drop stealth is… well a 2 drop, so it’s another option for jade guardian/troublemaker. Currently I’m focusing entirely on rat burglar + the 1 drop 4/2 rush that makes them draw. Haven’t really won because of it yet, but it’s funny when I do it.

I have yet to see anyone or myself use the new warlock cards.

Shh, don’t tell anyone that the tempo version of the reborn Priest isn’t easily cleared by control priest and they don’t get to turn 10 to play Medivh.

Dude we dont want to play aggro. It’s been aggrostone since 1927. Mindless way of playing.

Looks like you are an aggro player that only want fast matches , i always said aggro is necesary , but aggro dominating the meta is never a good thing , i can understand that priests can be to much , but most of people dnt like die in 4 turns , for me the best meta posible is kinda midrange decks , not to aggressive but either eternal like against priests

What a ridiculous comment. Minami nevers says that anywhere. He never even implies it. All he says is that the meta is better than it was before the patch and even now its rather “meh”.

I don’t see how you can argue with this - by any reasonable measure, the meta is better than since before the patch. For example, HSGuru has at least one deck in each class above 50% (diamond to legend) and no one deck played by greater than 12% of the players. That’s way better diversity than we had just a week ago. And yeah, some fast decks are doing well, but slower decks are playble (see Quest Mage, for instance). Now, if you want to say the meta is not to your taste, well fine, but hallucinating a grievance is silly.

You are also ridiculous if you think this meta is decent lol , doesnt matter if every class got a deck over 50% wr if the archetypes are disgusting ,devs are clearly out of ideas , the last set look like it was made by 4 monkeys with instruments , idk how someone can actually defend this company .

Drop the curriculum , maybe it works .

Yeah, reading is hard. I didn’t say this was a decent meta. Its just better than the previous ones that were indeed borderline unplayable.

The type of decks are the usual HS BS.

I just don’t understand people not wanting to play that type of stuff playing HS.
Those people should play a more serious game like MTG.

The game always was that “take this experimental stuff and annoy as much people as you can” type of game.

Well the game wasnt a casino since it released , back in the day was a completely different game without much rng .

Now Rng is out of control with the discover mechanic ,decisions still matters dont get me wrong , thats the only thing some people dont understand , Rng punish all of us each day , but decision making is still a thing , thats why not everyone play in high legend, as i said many times.

Knife juggler, implosion and many other old cards that actually won games based on their result alone disagree.

Back in the day, the cards you mentioned don’t end games that often, because back in the day it was more about curvestone/tempostone, where the turns leading up to the turn you play juggler is more important.

Setting up some big OTK combo with knife juggler is the exception not the rule. If you were going for a big OTK, there were better combos back then, usually involving the likes of Leeroy, stonetusk boar, power overwhelming, inner fire, warrior charge spell, tundra rhino, antonidas, FoN+savage roar… cards that are not random.

So other guy is technically correct. The game didn’t have as much crazy RNG back then. But it did have more crazy consistent burst damage, some to OTK levels but back then it was easier to get people low in health so you don’t need full 30 damage and those burst mini combos will still do the job.

So while the other guy is correct about RNG, he’d still be upset if we reverted back to the so called good old days, because then aggro will still be killing him, just now with more LEEERRRROOOOOY JEEEEENNNKINS :joy:
