My Timmy Love of Tick and Tock

Tick and Tock(Tick and Tock, Tick and Tock) around the clock, my timmy senses do tingle.

I’ll build a deck, never win again but I’ll always sing this jingle.

After twenty-two games will I manage to get your hand to disappear non-stop.

Until then, I wait, my Timmy senses hungry for that venomous toxic Tick and Tock(Tick and Tock, Tick and Tock).

What’s more toxic? Wombo Combo you see coming from turn 1 so they can minimize the impact that just deletes opponent’s hand or Wombo Combo that isn’t telegraphed turn 1 and takes the same amount of turns that deletes the opponent’s Hero.

If it becomes Meta for some crazy reason the player base will lose their minds.

I predict that it will have similar play rate and win rate that Tickatus had during its time and people will lose their minds the same way too.

I predict Razdir will have a higher playrate than tick and tock

if Finley completes the get rid of your hand part .. god help us all

The problem is they give warlocks fun/intersting cards, and because every fkin player is looking for fun in this god forsaken game, everyone jumps on it. Rafaam was fun at first, saw it a heap, but died off quick since people weren’t winning with it. If tick tock wins a few games, it will be nerfed, even though we still deal with shtty stuff like colossus (which isn’t fun so it’s not every players go to).

People wanted to play Rafaam warlock because the kill the enemy hero effect and built the deck around just that, so when a Rafaam was removed being played they ragequit

Instead that should be one wincon of the deck and should include others, I mean for crying out loud Rafaam instantly gives you the requirement for the Elise location, I’m sure you can still make something viable with the other 28 slots

I think people are missing a crucial piece of this card just because of the secondary flashy effect. Yes deleting your opponents hand probably wins you the game, yes its tied to an 8/8 body that can be tampered with or just ignored, but I am surprised I have not seen anyone mention the fact that at a minimum it will draw you 9 or 10 cards which is insane on its own. Depending on the deck there is some crazy things you can do with that. For instance, I know its a meme card, but it completely removes the downside of king muklak.

This card and it’s subsequent decks will be refused a win-rate over 30%, hands down. Even that’s being generous.

However, for toxic timmies like me, I’m sure to play this card into oblivion like I did with Tickatus. It’s like being Groundhog Day’d into a deck only to have one iteration go exactly your way then reset back to normal but that one time.. OH, BOY IS IT SWEET. That stupid bot that I tanked my MMR to had no idea what was coming to it.

The card might have some genuine validity against extremely greedy decks in Standard. As a control enthusiast i’m okay with this as long as Rat stays in the pool and i have something to try and counter it.

Sometimes when I complete the quest late game tic tock doesn’t show up in my hand. It’s just discarded. Is this a known bug?

If the last card you used to complete the quest discards cards then no it seems to be intended that the discard cost happens after the quest completes thus discarding the reward.
