About Priest…it is my opinion (and many others as well). It is poorly designed. Period (another opinion). Even though the class ‘fantasy’ from WoW is to resurrect and heal. It is just carried out wrongly in Hearthstone (makes the class not fun to play against).
What I meant by my previous post regarding changes is that Blizzard needs to fundamentally find better ways to design and test. Be it classes or cards.

They may have something like this, but it would be really nice if they had a 2 week ptr and then additionally a “class specialist” for each class to review the decks and meta and sort of enforce that at least a couple of viable archetypes exist for each class. In my mind the specialist has a very heavy influence on final design of class cards per set.
Basic goal here is to try to ensure that no class is just left in the dirt on any given expansion
To be fair this has been said about every Priest deck ever, even years before it had rez mechanics, even when the stats showed it was the worst class in every game mode, Priest got disproportionate hate as unfun to play against.

That just moves the problem another step away.
MTG has a Graveyard and it needed a Super Graveyard (known as Exile). Even that wasn’t enough because then they have to design the Graveyard cards to be playable in spite of the new Super Graveyard, as was the case with Hogaak this past Summer.

I have all but accepted it wont happen. Doesnt mean I dont desire it tho.
Swccg has similar. You have a used pile that recycles and a lost pile that does not.
Certain cards allow you to retrieve from the lost pile, but they also have cards that place things “out of play” meaning the card can never be played again that game (and in the case of unique characters, all iterations of that card are also unusable).
I think a solid change to the res mechanic would be that each minion could only be resurrected once for each time it is played. So you would eliminate both tainting the res pool and ressurecting the same minion multiple times. It would obviously need some balance testing as priest can still be out valued even as is
Cyclone mage got destroyed by galaxy and conjurer calling nerf. Tempo rogue was only really good at the start of meta.
So yeah, two good deck, and maybe four decent in total. You call that a good meta? Lmao.
Token Druid was good in RoS as well

Because it was a hot mess, that’s why. That’s not a good thing, that shows they didn’t test it properly before releasing.
So… more res priests on ladder, no thanks. Staying in bg. Will enjoy all the dusts though.

That’s a lot of nerfs. Most concerning to me is the fact that galakrond shaman has now had 12 total cards in the deck nerfed. If that isn’t absolute proof positive that they don’t playtest this stuff I don’t know what is.
Sadly I still don’t think these change enough to put the hero classes on equal footing, and res priest is even better now.
Apothecary Nerf probably makes all the Dr rogue variants weak to aggressive gameplans though, so at least there’s that.

“Balanced and fair”
IMO, this would mean all classes have competitive deck options ( at least a 51% win chance). Preferably at least two, otherwise, it gets really stale fast and players will be less likely to play classes that have less options.
That said, a class getting 57%+ wins actually causes those other decks to drop their win rates in proportion to popularity. Finally, when a class has a 45% (and averaging 40% over all) win rate with its best deck, that needs attention just as much as a class with 60%. Why? Because bumping the weak class will affect the win rates of the stronger classes too.
Except the fact that winrate is only ONE of the factors that cause popularity you’re correct.
There were many times were decks were really powerfull but did still less popular than it should just because they were REALLY boring to play with to a point people did prefer not to like RoS CW or un’goro murloc paladin.
With that said more nerfs will probably make the situation worse at this point and devs should consider revert some.
