More nerfs are on the way

Ok, well Highlander Mage hard loses to aggro so I don’t know what to tell you. Nerf aggro so that deck can be better? It’s already good against Priest which is Hunter’s worst matchup. So why would it be good against Hunter?

Because 80/20 matchups aren’t supposed to exist in a balanced and competitive game.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHA! Balanced and competitive? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHA!

Oh, you’re serious.

You don’t even get my point. Embarrassing post of yours.

Not every deck is going to have a 50% chance of winning against all other decks. You don’t have a point.

That’s not my point. My point is that developers should strife to achieve balanced matchups, no matter the class. Games are only fun if there is a certain balance.

I believe it’s totally possible for Hearthstone to achieve matchups of 60/40 in worst cases.

Well I’m sorry Highlander Mage can’t beat the most aggro deck in the meta right now. They aren’t going to nerf Hunter just because that matchup is bad.

Just played a Galakrond Shaman in Wild and it was almost a spitting image of the usual T1 standard deck. I have a pretty potent wild highlander deck, and that Gala shaman out valued me. I was out of cards, on turn 20+, and he/she had 13 cards left after doing over 80 damage to my character (convertered health to armor, Reno…with the perfect opening hand etc.)

Thats pretty incredible to pull off in wild. It’s a regular occurrence too. not many Standard decks can rip in to Wild that much either. It’s very efficient.

My experience is opposite, lol

I’ve played against Galak Shaman twice and beat it with one of my Shaman decks (Even or Murloc) and Evenlock. It is a good deck but last I saw in Wild it is still only a low tier-3 deck on Tempostorm’s opinion list. No data yet really on Wild (also less accurate data in Wild).

What should they bring down to compensate for Cobalt going up, if anything?

The problem that I see is that the invoke for most classes impacts the board inmidiatly and those that don’t (Rogue and Priest) have gone the deathrattle route, Paladin has great cards but they don’t impact the board inmidiatly simple as that.

Okay, so what is really going on here is, right now everyone has purchased and dusted/crafted the cards they want and need. Unfortunately for Blizzard aggro is meta, and aggro is cheap. Which means people are not spending enough money on the game at the moment.

So they are going to swing the game in favor of control, which is expensive. I am sure they are hoping for a good bump in sales with this.

I can 100% guarantee it’s going to be a nerf to Highlander Galakrond Rogue and that’s what he’s talking about for the most part about it being too powerful than it needs to be. It’s ridiculous value generation.

The question is, what will the nerf be that specifically targets Highlander Galakrond Rogue? Not really sure to be honest.

I’m willing to bet that Kronx gets hit somehow. Maybe gets pushed to a 4/4 or something. “Some of the Galakrond DeckS are just a touch more powerful”. Kronx hits all Galakrond decks. It makes sense.

Rogue Galakrond might get hit to where the drawn cards cost (1). That would slow it down a bit and stop the 7 mana > drop huge minions in 1 turn play.

Pirate Warrior and DR Rogue light nerfs will likely be something like this:

Skybarge goes to a 2/4
Necrium Apothecary goes to 5 mana.

I don’t think that’s accurate. I think more likely they are seeing decreased interest in constructed hearthstone and are attempting to make the meta more palatable to attract more players/sell more packs

You don’t even play the game aside from logging in once every 2 weeks.

I don’t understand how you can be commenting on the meta. Do you just watch streams and datas to forge your opinion ?

I can’t comment for Bowser Bee but the meta right now is better than the entire YotD imho. I have 7 decks that feel good and are viable and two fun near-viable decks. Some Homebrew and some netdeck.

That is a good place for playing in the 8-3 bracket for the game imho.

I just said that. I used different words, you just reiterated what I just said.

Your correct. It’s 9 mana cost after quest for the 4… My apologies.

As for the card being balanced, it still summons two giants with rush and an arcanite reaper with 5 Armor for 7 mana. My point stands.

If they couldn’t foresee this card being ultra powerful in a class with shudderwock and a double battlecry quest then they must be pretty clueless.

it wasnt even galak it was the double invoke card
just look and how much the meta changed after that card was nerfed even with the galak untouched

Quest hater, he?

The Shaman Quest has never been the best Shaman deck.

It wasn’t the best deck in SoU upon release, it wasn’t the best with Evolve, and it’s still not the best now with Galakrond.

The Shaman Quest punishes greed, and if you are playing a greedy deck, you should expect for there to be a deck that punishes said greed. People don’t want Hearthstone to turn into Control AFKStone.
