Here is a list of all the bugged skills and equipments I have encountered in Mercenaries Mythic Boss Rush (MBR). Notably, some can only be discovered if you invest Renown into the ability, which is extremely frustrating.
Note - I am not including visual bugs where the skill or equipment functions as intended but is not written correctly in game (spell damage buffs that don’t get applied visually but still work, for example). These are intended to be the bugs where an upgraded skill or equipment does not in any way function the way the ability reads.
Protectors
Genn
- Blistering Bullet ability will revert Genn to pre-upgraded form, i.e. all abilities revert to level 5, regardless of preexisting ability level. This is the same upon changing back to Genn.
Gruul
- Dragon’s Skull equip - Fire resistance caps at base equipment level (4)
Lich King
- Kettle Onto The Coil treasure does not actually grant deathblow ability to Death Coil
Yu’Lon
- Jadefire Spear equip does not grant health as written - seems to be capped at skill level
Fighters
Voone
- Dragon’s Mark equip - does not actually grant additional damage beyond ability level
- Fire Ritual treasure - DIE INSECTS deathblow does not trigger after destroying an enemy
Casters
Chi-Ji
- Blazing Song equip - heal power doesn’t scale at the rate listed, seems to be skill level plus base equipment level
Rogers
- Ship’s Bell equip - damage caps at ability level + 4 (the base equip level)
Varden
- Band of Frost - damage doesn’t scale beyond base equipment level
Note - if you have screenshots or replays of these bugs, please feel free to add them in the thread. I don’t have the technical skills / experience / time to create them myself. Given that these bugs are widely known to the Mercenaries / MBR community, this shouldn’t come as a surprise to the devs.
Again - people invested time and money into upgrading these skills and only then was it revealed, in-game, that none of the above functioned as intended OR written. If it’s a dead mode, kill it. Otherwise, fix it.
