Making shop better than it is now

Hello guys,
I wonder why blizzard did not yet made like a card gallery of cards in the in game shop so players could by the cards that they actually wants. For example wild players usually need only one or two legendaries from older expansions so this would be way better than what we have now.

Because they are too greedy to allow players to get what they want for cheaper

Its called crafting. You can craft any card you want.

“I wonder why blizzard”
no you didnt.

this isnt complicated. They are trying to make money.
Thats it.

You buy a pack. You dont get your card. Shame. You then buy more packs.

I personally would be super happy for more hero skins offered per week, or special sales on a large selection of hero skins such as Black Friday. Card backs would be nice too…

Buy enough packs, disenchant duplicates and then you have enough dust to craft what you want.

But no, if you want a particular card by opening packs, you will probably be owning much of the set before you get that particular card, especially if it’s a Legendary. Not necessarily a bad thing since you build your collection, but can be expensive if you didn’t build your collection for free at the time when that expansion was the latest/in Standard.

So you think that more people will be buying an overpriced signatures legenderies that they don’t need for theirs decks instead of buying a specific cards from shop that they actually want? Interesting.

I would say lower the price on older cards keep the price of newer cards higher till next set. Rotate more cards into the shop or hero portraits that people missed.

I actually just made a post about this too; I have some extra shillings & would like to buy something in hearthstone but there is no real shop . I personally want diamond etc which was only 25$ not bad for a diamond that makes diamonds

I think having like a marketplace (like WoW auction house) where you can put up for auction or buy w/ in game gold of the cards you don’t want or have duplicates of would be a good idea.

Wreckus, this ^ an interesting idea, which a lot of players would like, but it will never happen, because it would open a doorway for funneling gold from bot accounts to legitimate accounts. :man_shrugging:

I like how things were in Overwatch 1, but apply that to here, but maybe to a lesser extreme since the game didn’t start that way. In overwatch 1 you could get a legendary skin every 10 or so lootboxes and you could get an easy 2-3 loot boxes per day. It was one of those most generous deals I’ve seen. But ya know. Companies love their piles of money. I understand it. Also if they suddenly made gold easier to farm then it would devalue other’s efforts.

That’s one issue I thought about and you are definitely right.

Would be nice to get a solution and bring this out though.

No I dont think that, I am telling you what the literal game industry thinks, which is why it keeps being used again and again, Gacha-type games proved this type of mechanic is worth enough to keep games surviving on that alone. Genshin says hello lol
( “random chance to get what you want”-mechanics which causes overspending, instead of direct single purchase of exactly what you want )

Furthermore, Blizzard has proven they are tryharding this tactic, as they added the Darkmoon Faire Treasures, which is an even greedier version of it - with the price raising with each roll.

EU rolled out updated guidelines on what businesses need to follow to respect customer rights, specifically targeting video games and digital services, early 2025, but doesnt seem like Blizzard think they need to follow EU laws.

Regardless, I dont find this kinda tactic helpful to the player, I just know that capitalism in the present day, without being shackled by laws as it should be - makes companies focus entirely on what is best for them - not what is best for US
