I am still pretty new. Just played a tavern brawl. Mage character cast spells repeatedly on turn 1 until I lost. Mana cost was all very high. What card allows that? It didn’t even show up on list. Different Mage filled their board with 10/12 dragons with taunt, turn 1. I am lost here. Just trying to have fun.
In this Tavern Brawl spells cost life points and not mana. That’s why it’s called “Blood Magic”.
Since mages have alot of strong spells they can defeat you pretty quick if they have an good starting hand.

Most of the games in this tavern brawl end on turn one. Many classes can do this.

Advice for the new player: you absolutely, totally, need to read and understand the rules of the Tavern Brawl to play it well. Some weeks are very different than standard, and this is one of them.

The paladin is more BROKEN in this mode!
Paladin can’t really first turn kill
They can disrupt and pull out a good board but they lack consistency
Druid can reliably first turn kill
The entire point of the Tavern Brawl mode is to have strange rules.
Don’t be ridiculous. There’s a pack at stake here, if you don’t grit your teeth and push through 15-30 minutes for a meager $1.99 in store credit then you’re missing out and the FOMO will haunt your dreams.
