Mage player went from 1 card in hand to 10 cards in a single turn. Unbelievable. That was in standard as well. They won the game next turn. I was just a virtual spectator of the game.
Every class is overpowered in some things.
Mage - draw and burst damage.
Priest - card generation.
Hunter - face damage.
Rogue can draw as well as mage, the difference is that rogue draws to win the game
Try telling that to paladin now. 8 games - 5 vs mages and 3 vs shamans. Spell damage decks rule the day.
Wasn’t paladin tier one for months until the nerf?
Maybe you didn’t play then.
I was playing then, just not paladin. I am now though.
In the meanwhile spell damage mage is still tier 1 (or 2).
In your dreams it is.
Spell Mage is Tier 3
Spell Damage Mage is barely tier 4.
Spell dmg mage is trash tier now
VS #202 says it’s tier three at best, and to me there is no real reason to play it since priest was nerfed so hard.
This is a very important thing to learn - for all Hearthstone players:
Just because you lose to something does not make that thing overpowered or even good in relation to the metagame at large.
B-b-but *non sequitur. And *strawman.
And don’t forget about *red herring.
Yes but going from one card in hand to 10 cards in a single turn does seem rather excessive card draw to me.
And requires quite a few things to line up that cannot happen even somewhat frequently.
Big things happen in both Hearthstone and other CCGs.
In fact mage card draw really does seem quite excessive the way they are able to cycle through their entire deck with ease until they get their c’thun win condition up. Just lost to yet another one, rather sick of the sight of seeing them.
Spell Mage with C’thun is objectively inferior to the more proactive builds that don’t load their deck up with bad cards.
Your consistent losses to them is more a product of your deck or playstyle choice than the fact that they’re in any way overpowered.
What deck(s) are you frequently playing that keep losing to them?
It’s almost as bad as how fast rogues can burn through their deck
Does a deck card Draw matters If they can’t win with It?
Yeah, Mage is drawing through their whole decks Just to die. So what?
If you are losing to C’thun mage then you either need a different deck or tutoring.
Paladin of course and actually prefer to think of it as the blatantly biased matching system as to why I been getting matched against mage so frequently. First 3 games of the day were all against mage though after the second one just couldn’t face another one and just auto conceded.
