In a casual duel I won my first 12-1 run as the Paladin, From Golden Light, Royal Greatstone, Rocket Backpacks, and Discs of Legend.
Hooray what a freaking blast… finally.
Once it ended I was really down to zero mood again. There wasn’t really any reward for such a feat. It made me really think this deserves a reward. If anything else maybe a golden ticket to join a ranked duel game.
Does anybody else think there should be some bone tossed for winning the run on casual mode?
Yes but until a majority of the players push for it casual Duels with be a strictly for fun mode.
casual mode is purely casual (as the name suggests) where you can try out different strategies. for those that want rewards for their runs they created heroic

Aren’t the (first time at least) achievements for a good duels run pretty valuable?
My guess is that the deck you made would not last 5 games in heroic.
There should not be a great reward for casual or there would be no reason to risk gold on the heroic version. I do however think 12 wins to earn a ticket to heroic would be relatively fair, since it’s a huge time sink to get 12 wins even if you go 12-0.

I’m pretty sure they removed the XP for the achievments due to Duels not being as new, but if you do like collecting achievments, there are achievments for getting a 12 win run for each class that I personally enjoy trying to achieve.
I think Zuell is right. No reward at all feels crippling-ly pointless for this mode. Hear me out.
I’m a Duels junkie. I’ve done almost 200 runs, currently at 8k MMR. This mode is what makes my day enjoyable. But I’d rather pay for a Heroic run with real money than go into Casual Mode.
There’s something about the random nature of Duels’ mechanics that makes playing for prizes exciting and playing for nothing worse than empty. Like, I don’t even really need the packs at this point, I have all the cards from Barrens, but it still makes all the difference.
It’s kind of like playing poker without any stakes. There’s no emotional investment.
If you would get a free Arena ticket for 12 wins in Casual, I’d play it. If you’d get the ticket for ten or even fifty 12 win runs, I’d still probably play it and feel good about it. “It’s the thought that counts.”
