Kil jaeden pluss countdown card?

So thye play kiljaeden and then the warlock card that countdowns death clock.
I don’t know what the name is.
Anyway why hasn’t this been patched? Considering the entire point of the countdown death card was you got rid of your deck, and you only have so much time. That is the intention of that card.
Can a Dev explain why they haven’t patched this yet?

I am not a dev but i believe the reason why those two cards haven’t been patched is because the deck that uses them doesn’t have a huge win rate and there are decks that win before turn 7.
Also, when you play those two cards together, you get a feeling of power. And that feeling usually will make players spend more time in the game.

It hasn’t been patched because there’s nothing to patch there

So how do you win when they play this combo?

Kill them. You can aggro them down early or OTK them late.

A smart lock will keep walling with taunts, mainly ADC to build that armor

Both of those cards are doing exactly what they say.

This would be a better bug report if you pointed out the actual bug.

Death clock was nerfed way back when it was first introduced from each player turn to only the main players turn. 5 turns starting from turn 8 with Kil’Jaden does not typically mean a win. By that time most games are already decided.

This combo is more of a win when both decks are at a standstill and the game is going nowhere.

No, it was nerfed from triggering at the end of your turn to trigger at the start of your turn.
Because triggering at the end of your turn only left your opponent 4 turns to kill you instead of the announced 5

The entire point of the deathclock card though is they have no cards left, and it’s a gamble to try to finish you before the clock.

Intent of the design of the card is what matter.

Why did they patch timewarp for mages? One extra turn was the original intent, not infinite turns.
That is why they patched it.
Deathclock needs to be patched for the same reason.
intent

So because Warlock has cards that damage themselve, they should not be authorised to heal ?
Because they discard cards, they should not be able to benefit from discarded cards ?

The intent of the wheel is to give the warlock a huge drawback in exchange of their wincondition
Said drawback being 15 fatigue damage and 5 negated draws
Instead of that, the deck runs a dead card for the entire length of the game that they cannot play before the wheel and that they need to spend almost an entire turn to setup without dying
Result is that the drawback of the wheel in that scenario is

  • 1 fatigue damage and 1 negated draw, minimum (because you may not be able to play KJ the turn after the wheel)
  • 2 bad draws of random demons (at +6/+6 they may become usefl)
  • giving an extra entire turn to your opponent to kill you
  • running a dead card for at least 8 turns that may delay the turn you play the wheel before you fetch it too

Looks like enough of a drawback

You can play KJ before you do the wheel. There is no downside.
Your cards are already gone.

Yes sorry I mixed things up
You can play either first, you just have to wait to draw both
