Jailer Nightmare Immune Flaw

After you play JAILER, not all minions are immune. I crafted a deck starting with Vanndar to lower deck cost, was gifted 2 dream cards during play, strategically filled my board with minions, used the 2 NIGHTMARE cards (+4/+4, destroy at beginning of turn), then played JAILER! All hail the immunity glory! But, no… pop, pop, double dead… WTF? Let’s see Blizzard’s definition: " Immune is an ability that prevents characters from receiving any damage." Immune? Absolutely NOT!!!

Which minions died? The ones one which you played Nightmare? Immune protects from targeting and receiving damage but not from being destroyed by an effect like Nightmare which was played before the minion became immune

Yeah the minions that you played nightmare on would still die. Immune doesn’t remove that effect of the card.

The keyword “Immune” in Hearthstone means the affected character can’t be targeted or damaged. (Although the tooltip only mentions the “can’t be damaged” part.)

Immune characters can, however, still be destroyed by non-targeted or randomly selected Destroy effects, such as Brawl, Doomsayer, Twisting Nether, Deadly Shot, etc.

Effects placed upon a character before gaining Immune will still trigger, such as Nightmare or Habeus Corpses.

They can also be destroyed by your own targeted destroy effects, such as nightmare, as immune doesn’t protect the minion from your own targeting.
