Just really tired of this game not being anywhere NEAR balanced. Want something that is more skill based then RNG based.
Does any card game exist like that

Only if you know what your next card is every turn, because no matter the card game, your strategy is dependent on what you draw

By the nature of a card game it’s always luck dependent. The discover and things like that are the only things that make hearthstone slightly more rng based than other games. But it honestly makes things more fair imo, since in other games if u dont draw exactly what you need on a turn you can literally do nothing. At least with the discover stuff you can possibly find a solution other than praying for just your next draw.

I disagree with this. At least with draw you have a preset deck, you know what your deck has and you have to make decisions based on what could be drawn. Discover is complete randomness with huge power swings. It goes well beyond the RNG of draw in my opinion.

Don’t you understand? If you lose that means the game isn’t balanced. So the game will never be balanced because someone will always lose

Perhaps, Magic the Gathering ? I have not played it for a very long time though because it is not designed to be played online.

Balance is really vague here, so maybe you would get better replies if you gave more details and specified what balance looks like to you.
They want a skill focused card game, but like it or not RNG will always play a large factor because of card draw, and any strategy you have is dependent on what you draw

you partially got it right.. I would like a game that doesn’t use RNG in its cards (at) least not nearly as much as this game does.
Card draw is not the issue, its the RNG from discover etc. that I have an issue with.
When this game released you had to have skill to win because it wasn’t based off discover etc and you had to know the deck you were playing and playing against. You could counter etc now you can’t because everything is just MADE up as you go.
Casino style card games like poker, blackjack, etc.
But you’d lose to a more-skilled player n call it imbalanced.

thats a card game, not very random, she seems to enjoy it
