Is Hearthstone still fun?

  1. So, they’re doubling down on Signature Cards. Garbage—because they won’t give us a way to read the cards properly. Otherwise, they’d be great. Basic UX (user experience).

  2. Rewind has a ridiculously long animation—it’s hardly worth playing if, you know, you actually want to play your turn (and I swear if they pause the game for it—that’s a thousand times worse!). I hate using Rewind cards for this alone. Again, basic UX.

  3. The cool new pets are behind the most ridiculous paywall imaginable—Dark Moon Faire; anyone else not want a bunch of junk Signature Cards while paying $200 for a dog?

  4. Junk meant to force us to keep playing whether we want to or not is getting worse and worse—now the daily quests are so stupid and the events are so hard to complete, are they ANY fun to play?

  5. More and more people aren’t playing for real; they’re clearly trying to complete events. Quitting or barely paying attention is on a serious rise, and I’m just as guilty, because why bother anymore? (I’m writing this while I barely pay attention, and my opponent’s the same. And the last one straight up whacked my minions until they killed themselves  )

I’ve noticed I’ve started actively hating playing. Is anyone else wondering how much more of this they’re willing to take?

If they’d just fix a few things…but it’s like they don’t even care if we enjoy the game. As long as we’re coerced into playing, that’s good enough.

The game is designed solely to psychologically manipulate you, and it leads you down two paths. If you’re weak, you’ll pay and send money to Blizzard endlessly, hoping to become a legend every month or win arenas. If you reject this system, you’ll abandon the game, but Blizzard doesn’t need you in this case and doesn’t care at all. Blizzard doesn’t care about the forum unless you do the following:
1- Stop playing and join the competition, this does the most damage to Blizzard
2- Use only disposable accounts and do a lot of arenas, this clogs up the servers, causing Blizzard to spend money while earning zero revenue
3- Report Blizzard on all social media, promoting the second point as a solution
4- Become totally obstructive with bots, programming them to wait until the last second, destroying the game from within
All the other things are pointless, I will periodically republish this place with my thousands of accounts, also because I now know that Blizzard fears these posts because they hurt them terribly and they delete them quickly.

Answering the title question.

The answer is NO.

I remember when every class was fun.

I remember when the game used your knowledge to win games.

I remember when hearthstone was in the top ten of watched games on Twitch.

Something was lost not just with hearthstone but all of Blizzard. Their games started off as fun, but corporate greed got their hands on it, making changes that made their games less fun and cost more.

Is Hearthstone still fun? NO!

I have heard an opinion recently: “I thought that I don’t like HS anymore, but I played some brawl runs and understood that I like HS, I just don’t like the current standard meta and the current wild meta”.

I can’t say exactly the same, because I was not very excited to play brawl runs. But I played it mostly to win and to get as many packs as possible, while that person played it more for fun than for rewards.

Hearthstone is a blatant scam disguised as a video game. The forum moderators delete (poor things, I even feel a little sorry for them) posts from users like me, who then recreate another account in a couple of minutes and start posting again. I’ve been playing for years with free accounts without ever giving Blizzard a dime, and I only play arenas, not so disconnected from spinning the ladder wheel. I don’t have to hope to find legendary xyz, and I cheerfully punish Blizzard for psychologically manipulating users for 10 years. There are thousands of players like me. Every time you see nicknames like skjbfsidf,

is not a fun… im delete game today… I’ve been extremely disappointed with the algorithms lately… Arena is simply impossible. Ladder is boring. Legendaries don’t drop, you just sit there all the time, participating in a bunch of weird events and getting nothing, playing a boring, annoying game. And which they can’t even fix. Terrible Battlegrounds, terrible Duos. I don’t like being lied to. I feel it all the time here. But I just want fun and satisfaction.

I don’t get why Pets are in the game if you can’t get them through any other way than paying…

To answer the topic title, occasionally, because I don’t care for cashgrab cosmetics or trying to be top 1 legend, am I good/bad player? Who knows, I hit D5 and I just play what I feel like, not worth the stress for 1 extra pack

The game has turned into a trash can with cheap scripts.. it is already clear to everyone that your win rate on any deck and with any skill will be about 50%. if you win 3-4 games, then you WILL DEFINITELY lose the next 3-4 - they call this the BALANCE in the game (garbage balance). There is no randomness left in the game, although they write “by chance, by chance, by chance” on each card. It’s disgusting to watch, it’s getting boring to play too! The friends all ran away from the game, 2-3 remained in the game. The worst development team. Bring random back into the game, and WRITE about it everywhere so that players know they will be returning to the game.

The algorithms in the game are dumb! The developers have turned the stairs and the arena into uninteresting trash. The new rewind mechanics are long, boring, and as dumb as the algorithms in the game. These ignoramuses who write algorithms have never even heard of mathematical expectation. When will the development team change? I wish it would happen faster!
