I mean look at the reverted-nerfs cards. I might play flood pala again.

The carts of Sludge Warlock are unnerfed etc.

I do agree with the idea that infestor didn’t necessarily need a nerf because Mosh Pit, Death Growl, and Yelling Yodeler all rotate out of standard format, however Auchenai Death Speaker and Brittlebone Buccaneer will remain, so maybe it’s still beneficial for the overall experience.

My first impression of the rework of Raza the Resealed seems random, and very hard hitting. I understand that with the new expansion there might have been an overwhelmingly strong mechanism, but they could have just changed the text by deleting the ā€œfor the rest of the gameā€. That way it would’ve only been viable as long as the card is on the board, and then they could have tweaked its stats.

On another topic:
Regarding rotation into wild format, I always assumed that cards will return back to their vanilla version. Do they not? Because Reno, Lone Ranger will become cheaper, but his card text is not reverted to include the limit of board slots to 1 for the next turn.
Can somebody entlighten me, please?

Zerg warlock it’s still a great deck if a bit on the heavy price dust-wise and with the Kerrygan nerf that just hits it hard another that may be a strong hero card but I still see that playing her at 6 due to cost reduction from Nydus worm was the problem, maybe change the later to not discout the cards drawn and maybe summon a spawning pool istead IMO.

Because the list is long, you can scroll down the blizzard post. They have listed which cards are returning to their original state.

If the card you are thinking of is not there listed, most likely wont change in the near future.

Well, Reno is on the list, but as I said, they only changed the mana cost back to vanilla state, but not the card text. I was just wondering if they missed that, or if cards do not necessarily get changed to their vanilla version once the move to wild format.
I’m just curious how they handle it. Maybe my assumption is wrong.

Spirit of the Frog still being 5 mana makes me sad and no word on if fizzle will go back to normal either.

Yogg sure is not going back to it’s release version, so why would reno? Specially on a format where highlander decks are extremely powerfull.

It’s too OP even for Wild. The initial card was just bonkers. The only reason it existed was to make Badlands seem important and to make everyone play Highlander decks for months.

It wasn’t even that nerf they ā€œmissedā€. It even worked with a few duplicates in the deck as long as you drew them (it made Warriors even better that way).

Yeah… at least 1 year too late for some of these cards

im surprised they didnt remove its ā€œanti plagueā€ text

Terran and Zerg nerfs are good, but why no nerf to protoss cards? Protoss need nerfs too.
Raza rework is a bit weird.
Why reduce cost of Brann and Reno? Good thing i decided not to play Wild this year

I played shaman terran where banshee was amazing for finishing the game. Viking was the one that was horrible to get because armor was only relevant if you were already losing.

The deck is already dead. It is losing everything that made it ok

We’ve seen some questions about Spawning Pool - Spawning Pool will also become eligible for a full dust refund sometime after the next patch.

Why is trial by fire still at 7 mana? There are also some other rotated cards that are still nerfed for 0 reasons. Like why is Sire Denathrius still nerfed?

Banshee seemed an overkill to me. Since you vomited the board with starships the game was over. I was never in the position where I was 5 damage off and banshee came to the rescue.

Both Raynor and Kerrigan shouldn’t get nerfed IMO.
Terran.- lock on for shaman and concussive sells for warrior should not be 1 mana and discount the launch by 2
Zerg.-Nydus worm should not discount mana, maybe create a spawning pool or summon a zergling.
The rest seem like very spot on changes for the starcraft miniset.

Then they are not doing it good enough yet because didn’t touch Protos… I am just sad they made Terran weak for Paladin because it is board based so couldn’t enjoy it a little… and now it will be even more useless than before.

Protoss might not be played anyway. But maybe they want to support mages for a month or two because they didn’t play it much. The priest deck is probably already too good (unless other netdecks become overpowered).
