Description
When The Egg of Khelos (Stage 1) is destroyed after being granted an additional Deathrattle (such as from Amphibian’s Spirit), its original Deathrattle is always triggered last, regardless of summon order or how the additional Deathrattle was applied.
As a result, the expected interaction where the newly summoned The Egg of Khelos (Stage 2) receives the granted effect does not occur.
This issue seems specific to Stage 1 of the Egg — later stages behave as expected.
Steps to Reproduce
Example 1
Summon The Egg of Khelos (Stage 1).
Cast Amphibian’s Spirit on it to grant an additional Deathrattle.
Destroy the Egg.
Expected behavior:
The Egg of Khelos (Stage 2) is summoned first.
Then the Amphibian’s Spirit Deathrattle triggers, applying its buff to the newly summoned Egg.
Actual behavior:
The granted Amphibian’s Spirit Deathrattle triggers before the Egg’s original one.
The buffed target disappears, and The Egg of Khelos (Stage 2) is summoned unbuffed.
Example 2
Summon The Egg of Khelos (Stage 1).
Grant it the Deathrattle effect from Stranglevine.
Destroy the Egg.
Expected behavior:
The Egg of Khelos (Stage 2) should be summoned first.
Then Stranglevine’s granted Deathrattle should trigger, applying its enhancement to the newly summoned Egg.
Actual behavior:
The granted Stranglevine Deathrattle triggers before the Egg’s original Deathrattle.
The effect’s target disappears, and The Egg of Khelos (Stage 2) is summoned without any enhancement.
Note:
If The Egg of Khelos (Stage 1) and Stranglevine are both present as separate minions and destroyed simultaneously, the Deathrattle order works as expected.
Additional Notes
The issue occurs only when a granted (added) Deathrattle is involved.
When multiple innate Deathrattle minions are destroyed simultaneously (via AoE), the trigger order behaves normally.
This issue is exclusive to The Egg of Khelos (Stage 1).
Starting from Stage 2 and beyond, Deathrattles trigger in the correct order and the expected behavior is observed.
