I'm really getting tired of this game

I have read some players over on Facebook about other players somehow cheats in the game Hearthstone . for a while , i didn’t believe it , the game looked like it was tough to crack and help these "kids " and Young adults ( plays like kids when it comes to strategy speaking ) … but then, one day , i was playing the game and what happen blew my mind . for some reason a player KNEW exactly what cards i have and then they would out beat it …

i have played a lot of these types games for the past 11 years and to this day , i find it very DISAPPOINTED with the fact that , a C E 0 that own a game like Hearthstone, or any other games , don’t care about their customers happiness ( when it comes to playing a good game against another player WITHOUT using any CHEATING HACKING PROGRAM !!! … i also was told by a team member of Hearthstone in a comment on Facebook that , there’s no one that is cheating . i find that VERY HARD TO BELIEVE . a couple of days ago , i read a player’s comment , spending WELL OVER $1000 in the past Months IF NOT YEARS and still he or she feels like they are getting RIPPED OFF by the sear FACT that there are players that are CHEATING IN THIS GAME !!! … i’m glad i don’t go spending a crap loads of money in this game . however i did buy a couple of things and well needless to say , it wasn’t really worth it . hey at least i now KNOW not too be fooled by click baiting game just to see if getting like tavern pass was worth getting … which i found out , it wasn’t … oh yeah 4 tickets to the arena ??? … and only to find out , i still get beating ?? … no thank you .

oh and i almost forgot , the person that spend well over $1000 even found out that he or she was banned ?? for what ? i don’t know but apparently someone from the company didn’t like how the person was complaining and so therefore , they took it upon themselves to be the “king” or Queen " to ban this person … to me that’s a cheap shot if you ask me …

to the C E 0 , …might wanna get your priority straight when it comes to respecting your customers thoughts and opinions. also might want to see how these players are really screwing you over … you know that they are …and yet …you do nothing ?? … if i owned this game meaning if i was the C E O , oh there will be heads spinning like there’s no tomorrow .

Then quit and go play Animal Crossing.

As long as it’s not prevalent, cheating by other players maybe cost 1 in 100 games which is actually very immaterial, unless that happens the be the match before the next rank floor.

OP is yet to demonstrate that cheating happened at all. Your opponent making a good read of your hand is not proof of cheating, particularly if you’re running a known deck.

Opponent… hmm
Ya but it should not be software that predicts decks ( Deck Tracker etc.)…

Are you suggesting that deck trackers are cheating? Because they aren’t. And regardless, deck trackers can’t tell you which cards are in your opponent’s hand.

As far as I am aware there is no cheating program and if there was it wouldn’t stay secret for very long.

It’s not that hard to figure out in the first 1-3 turns what kind of deck you’re playing and then disrupt your desired game plan. Especially if you’ve been playing for a bit and have come up against a lot of similar decks before.

I’m also very curious what this cheating is all about.
Please tell us TOXICFLOWZ so we may all be flabbergasted and shocked by your tale of deceit. Don’t keep your audience waiting. Spin the tale!

YA pls go to LAS VEGAS and use software that predict/count poker cards… and tell them face to face I am not cheating…

It’s certainly advantageous vs someone not running a tracker. You can choose whether to play a certain card knowing what’s left in your deck or anticipate what the opponent has left by looking at their list and finding out what hasn’t been played yet. You could do all this with pen and paper of course but the tracker just makes it easier.

Blizzard has stated that any software that does the same thing that can be done with pen and paper does not constitute cheating. If “the casino” says the software is no big deal, it isn’t cheating.

I use a tracker on PC but not while on my phone or tablet. I do find it easier to play on the PC as I can focus more on the plays vs remembering what either of us has played. I don’t do any better overall mind you lol. So, for me. Trackers are just a nice perk.

There are amazing people out there that can replay step by step a game they played last week and there are other “amazing for different reasons” people that can barely remember much beyond that they are playing a game. Don’t begrudge us memoryless folks our crutches

Same haha. I recently downloaded Firestone. I like it better then Hearthstone Deck Tracker.

Nah I’m not. I’m not the best at recalling things either. Like I said above, we could do this with pen and paper but it’s just more tiresome.

I can see how they decided that the deck tracker isn’t cheating. But this is merely a technicality of one aspect about cheating. In my opinion, I think using a deck tracker program is cheating because of two factors.

  1. Deck tracker can only be used on specific platforms but you can play against players on platforms such as phones that cannot run the deck tracker while you play. In that instance it is not fair and also contradicts the purpose of Blizzard expanding the game to be played on the phone.

  2. Each player’s turn comes with a time limit. Blizzard is right that the concept of the tracker isn’t cheating, but the player using the tracker still cheats other ways. Card games are fun for some people because they like to practice using their memory skills to track their opponents. Using a program cheats time as well as brain power. If a player had to write down what cards they saw on paper during the match, it would take more time and brain power as a trade for using the method. The problem with the program is that the player using it pretty much only gains from using it and doesn’t suffer much of a trade in terms of their advantage against a player who decides not to use it.

In conclusion, the only way I can see the deck tracker being fair is if it was implemented into the game for everybody to use. That way it solves problems 1 and 2. All players can use it no matter what platform they are on. Neither of the players will suffer a disadvantage due to time use and brain power skills.

In the meantime, since this hasn’t happened, I believe the deck tracker should not be allowed. Although I’m not letting it stop me from playing and enjoying the game.

Thank you all for reading.

There are deck trackers available for (Android) phones.

Figuring out what is in your opponent’s hand is not rocket science. All you have to do is pay attention to the card draw, the cards they have played, the location of the cards in their hand as they play them and keep track of what cards are created by other cards.

This is not difficult and is made even easier with decktracker.

Furthermore, there are ways to predict what cards are in their deck by looking at the cards they play. For isntance, if they are playing…

You know what, I am just going to stop there. I could go on for days about this. But this is something you should already know if you are posting tot he forums. If you are posting to the forums and you are unaware of such things then you are in the wrong place.

Fact of the matter is, this particular forum is nothing but trolls and crybabies. Of course, in this case, you would be the crybaby and I would be the troll.

I play on both Android (without a tracker) and on PC (with a tracker).

To me it makes no difference to my games and how I play them. My main use is for tracking stats not opponents cards.

Then again I am a poker player so stats is more of an interest to me

Difford, can I know in what way you think Firestone is better?

Considering options. Is it on the pack opening parts or it has plugins that are useful?

I love the UI better and the built in achievement system (although I’m not trying to complete those). It also has where you can play a cards summon, attack and die sound, something Hearthstone should have built in.

Still only a few days in using it so far. I may change my mind on it. I feel like you can resize the windows better.

It also shows where Coin and generated cards are in the players hand with a card icon and it tracks your pack openings and estimates when the next Legendary and Epic is using pack timers.

Oh ok! Thanks. I might try. Thing is I have two accounts and using one tracker for both accounts sorts of messes up the tracking of packs and win rates, so I think using two apps might be a good solution.
