Ideas for improvements to the Battlegrounds Duo's experience

I’m currently going for 100% Battlegrounds achievements, and as such have to come in second place in 1000 games. So, I have been sinking a lot of time into this recently, and I think two really easy changes that could be made (since there is already a precedent for them within Hearthstone or other games) is-

  1. Adding a stay as team button at the conclusion of the game.
I realize that Blizzard wants to limit back-seating in duo’s (I assume, since you can’t message your duos partner from the in-game menu), but sometimes you come across a unicorn teammate that actually has a brain, and you get into a flow-state with. It would be nice to be able to run it back with them instead of testing your luck with the matchmaking. I’ve queued into the same duos partner back-to-back before when I had a TERRIBLE experience with them, so it’d be nice to experience that on the flip side. Also, it might promote people actually making friends on the ladder, which it seems like isn’t exactly encouraged right now, for some reason.

  2. If you could customize your duo’s communications the same way you can your emote wheel to include things like move this minion to the left/right. I realize, this could potentially be used for back-seating as well, but it seems like that’s why mute teammates is a thing. I was in a game earlier today trying to primitively communicate to my teammate that the t6 naga now worked on adjacent minions, and there’s no button for read the damn card, so they ended up selling like, a 500/500 minion, thinking I was some kind of psycho.

In conclusion, these seem like really positive additions that could be made to the game, to make the experience of playing duos dramatically less excruciating.

I question mark the cards in bad positions. Usually works.

If a game includes the option to ignore your only teammate. The developers dont care at all about good communications between them.

They dont even care to communicate well with its playerbase.

A party up option would be nice.

Great comment. In addition to that, there is no possibility to send a friend invite to that guy, while I can send friend invites to my 5 opponents. That’s the issue I want fixed.

I like all this. Also, there needs to be a “report afk” button. I just had a game and this is like 1/10 games where partner just afks rather then concede which forces me to either concede or waste 15 minutes of my time to play without a partner for a guaranteed 3rd or 4th place. Its not fair that people can get mad and just afk in a team game and I have Zero recourse. These people are wasting a lot of people’s precious time and taking the fun out of the mode. Make a way to report them or a way for me to leave the match without losing rating points.

I totally agree. I also dislike when players rage quit and sell all their minions and you can do nothing about it. Can’t report him and you lose points. How can you level up without waiting on someone? That’s your friend to play the game?

you can add me if you like as a friend. I’m always looking for good duo partners.

i’ll also agree with that there is lack of monitoring the multiplayer duo on battleground they should find a way when you see someone selling all minions that’s automatically should be penalization and deduction of points or for them to be suspended or band. It’s very hard to level up when you play random players on duo battleground it’s impossible to get to a higher rank without a decent duo friend, but not everyone is available to play at certain times things needs to be addressed. Is there a way to contact the developers?

what is your ID tag so I can add you?

if you like playing duos Battleground

They wont add more than they already have when reporting people. You have 2 turns to friend or report. Thats it.

And honestly, if your teammate is mad enough to sell their board, Maaaaaybe look at how you just played the first 2-3 turns. Did you:

A. Afk the first turn because you were busy scrolling furry fanfics on your phone and didnt notice? Might be unappreciated.

B. Ignore a pass request when your teammate would get a triple on an early build defining card? Probably not helpful.

C. Sell your board so you could turbo level, leaving your team at half hp before you even get half of a board? Certainly not very smart.
