How to make dust from the next expansion?

I’ve heard a lot of people talking about buying a certain amount of expansion packs and waiting for nerfs to make dust. What’s the ideal strategy for making dust from the next expansion? Also, is it worth saving gold to eventually buy a miniset?

It’s likely that cards will get nerfed after a new expansion. The more packs you open, the more duplicates you’ll have when it comes nerf time and you can disenchant them for full dust value. Just don’t accidentally disenchant them before this happens.

It’s definitely worth saving gold to buy a Mini-Set, or going forward, what will be called a “class set”. These have historically been purchasable with 2000 gold (with one exception)

My strat is
Once the expansion launch, buy every pack you can for 1 or 2 months, then start stacking gold. Buy the miniset when it comes out, and keep stacking gold for the next expansion
I’ll have enough to buy 70 packs when the expansion comes out which prevents me from spending too much dust on rares and epics

Refrain from disenchanting duplicates and premium cards outside of nerfs, especially when the early meta uses them in top decks, disenchanting nerfed cards is banger when you have duplicates of them, even commons. It’s better to open a lot of packs early in the expansion as you have more chances to benefit from nerfs, on top of having less cards to craft

By doing that I realized I manage to get basically every card up to epic in each expansion + 2/3s of the legendaries by crafting almost nothing while being back to F2P, and my dust is roughly stable (technicallly slightly increasing each expansion with all the golden cards that I hoard that do not count as duplicates)
