How have you progressed with Rewards Track so far?

I just hit level 33 this morning and was curious if I am above or behind the curve.
How far have you progressed and do you have suggestions for leveling faster?

I hit 34 yesterday from almost nothing but weeklies and dailies. Plus some AFK in BGs here and there (about 200xp / hour if I restart matches as soon as I lose).

For the most part it’s made me want to play less. For instance, I don’t push hard in ranked because I know next week I’m going to have to win 7 games. If I kick major azz right now then my MMR and rank go up making it harder next time.

I also didn’t play any games yesterday because I didn’t want to complete a really bad ā€œplay 25 minionsā€ quest until I could reroll it. Today I got another bad one, rerolled into ā€œplay 3 gamesā€ and completed that. I’ve still got the minion one, though. It used to be that 10gp difference between good and bad quests wasn’t a big deal. You’d make that up in 3 games if it mattered. 800 vs. 1000 xp may or may not be that big of a deal but it definitely feels that way.

Thanks for the feedback. It is similar for me in the sense that I felt more compelled to play knowing that for every 3 wins I would get gold and I would get about 100 a day between wins and quests. Since I am a new player, 100 gold a day (or one pack a day) was helpful and exciting.

I was on the fence about quitting hearthstone the first week the reward system came out so I didn’t play at all

Blizzard successfully conned me by claiming in a statement that they planned to take a look at the issues with the new XP system, a statement I believe less and less as each new week of silence from Blizz goes by

But like I said Blizz are con artists who convinced me there would be positive change so I bought the battle pass figuring it was worth it if the system were to be changed

Now that I have the battle pass, I feel slightly pressured to play although it is often the bare minimum, just for quests

As of now I think I’m around lev 27-28ish. The free legendary you get at lev 25 does seem to at least be from Darkmoon faire, but the one I got was completely worthless and terrible in this meta (shaman minion that gives hero +2 attack and windfury). Was just about to auto-dust it but decided to wait to see if a future set might create some synergy for it

I’m having a hard time understanding everyone’s complaints about this new system. First of all, the 10G per 3 wins, capped at 100 gold for the day and an average of 60 to 80G per quest was downright abysmal. Not to mention up until 2 expansions ago, the rewards for ranking up were just worthless unless hitting Legend. Even then the rewards weren’t crazy or anything for the effort necessary to rank up. Setting aside the newish ranking rewards, you’ve made it to level 33 (assuming you didn’t by the tavern pass) you’ve gotten the following:

2700G, 11 card packs (worth 1100G), 2 EPICS (though admittedly not stellar so call it 800 dust), 2 epics and one 1 tavern ticket.

You’ve gotten all of this in roughly three weeks. So, I’m struggling to see where the disconnect is between the nostalgia of the old system and the absolute superiority of the new one. Hell, the new system is also easy to cheese because as I sit here working and responding to forum posts, I’m earning 400xp an hour as it plays in the background, allowing me to easily cap out the max rank by the end of next month. That’s an additional 15,000G that I would have NEVER earned under the old system that literally required hours of play time just to earn a hit the measily 100G win cap per day.

I gave up on playing Hearthstone a few expansions ago just because the effort for the reward was just not there. It’s fun again and as it stands with this rewards system (especially if you want to cheese out the max rewards) it has become a lot cheaper to play plus battlegrounds and Duels are just plain fun if you have the cards (for Duels specifically) to play it. I realize everybody’s mileage may very and the Hearthstone community is very… averse to change to put it lightly, but this is far superior to what we’ve had in the past.

I’m level 9, but I haven’t been playing HS much since they changed everything up. When I do play, it’s usually just a couple matches in BGs.

That card is useful for completing the deal 16 face damage with a weapon in one turn (whatever its called) xp achievement. There are other ways to do it but that is a pretty reliable one.

For the record, I wasn’t complaining, just curious where everyone else was so far. I feel pretty good about my progression so far.

I didn’t mean you specifically lol but I get why it would seem that way. I’m just really at a loss for those that are. Even if a player maxed out at an average of 150G per day (a feat that depending on the deck you are playing with might literally take half a day to win 30 matches) they wouldn’t come close to what you get from the new system if you just put in the minimal effort to max it out. But ya, 33 is pretty good and still plenty of time left in this expansion.

I’m at level 32 if i’m not mistaken… i do my dailies and play some BGs. Trying to reach Diamond at least each month. Overall not that bad as of now, still plenty of time left for new expansion, hopefully i will be able to reach level 50.

Currently on lvl 35. That is after 2-3 hrs of play each day. I also have 1/3 of the ā€˜gameplay’ rewards done. Yes, I’m quite ahead of the exp game. I don’t have the tavern pass.

I calculated the average exp needed per day is between 1,600 to 1,700 that is after dividing 192,200 exp by 120 days which is a little more than 1,600. Therefore it is 11,200 - 11,900 (edited: weekly) depending on how often you play. (192,200 is from the hearthstone cumulative rewards track on gamepedia)

Based on hearthstone rewards track from outofcards webpage, it’s possible to get 11,600 exp weekly just from weekly and daily quest combined. That is basically right between 11,200 and 11,900.

Therefore you will need to play a little more or less than just doing dailies and weeklies based on how often you play.

I’m working through level 20 at the moment, but I know that I’m behind the curve. Work has been hectic and my migraines have been common, so I haven’t kept up with all of my quests lately. I don’t think I’ve played Ranked yet since the monthly ladder reset, only a couple of Duels runs. I plan on trying to catch up a bit this weekend,

I am at lvl 34. But I am super close to 35, also I still need to finish one weekly quest

If you’re playing the game just for rewards like gold or xp and don’t enjoy it for any other reason you honestly should quit, that’s not healthy behaviour

That’s what I’m doing now but it’s in the hopes that they’ll fix things and it’ll be worth coming back.

Halfway to Level 30 with only doing Dailies and Weeklies.

I’ve been saving a Challenge a Friend quest if anyone wants to trade. The usual means for finding a partner online have been pretty dead as of late.

I’m level 40 on the battlepass. I’ve played this expansion a lot. I can see the reasons why people would be less inclined to play though to be fair, the meta is disappointing in standard constructed, battlegrounds is way too fast (pretty sure speeding up the games is what killed DOTA Underlords amongst other things), duels is, well, duels… Warlockgate.

I personally couldn’t care less about the Battlepass as I’ve never set ā€œX amount of gold this expansionā€ as an achievement, I just like accruing it and then buy the packs with money, however, I am deeply concerned over the silence about it from Blizzard. This is from someone who honestly couldn’t GAF whether the BP gave 5k or 15k gold per season, it’s the blatant disregard and lack of courtesy blizzard has had that upsets me.

Yet… I continue to play…

I think I’m at 33, maybe? The bugs with this game have encouraged me to play more casually than I used to. I will admit that when I played one of my stronger decks, it did feel good to see a Hunter concede to murloc Paladin. I think coin into fishing pole to smash the phase stalker had something to do with it.

Well, with no rewards no cards, no cards no game. Sure you can pay for the overpriced bundles that is basicly a scam with insane powercreep 3-4 times a year. But that will become a very expensive hobby. And the less people playing the less people will the whales face. It is a downward spiral. Remove f2p players and you soon have a dead game.
