How does Hollow Hound OTK work?

This is in Standard, Diamond 3 rank. I got killed by this Hunter twice:
Hunter plays a 10 attack Hollow Hound ( Rush, life steal , damage neighbors).
It hits my board and deals massive damage to my hero!? What?!
My question:
How does he buff it to 10 attack?
Why does it damage my hero when it only has rush?
I just didn’t see it coming and couldn’t figure out how.
Please help

Look up the deck Grunter Hunter and read the cards. Specifically “always a bigger jormungar”

They use the card Always a Bigger Jormungar on it, which makes excess damage hit the enemy hero. Since Hollow Hound deals cleave damage, it deals the excess damage for all 3 targets.

I played that deck only like 3 times but I did something funnier. A druid was ramping mana and doing almost nothing else so when they dropped their Dungar then they got lethalled BECAUSE THEY DROPPED DUNGAR which was the most hilarious thing ever because that’s supposed to be their win condition so they had no chance.

But I stopped playing it because the deck is too delicate against most other decks because it has generally low defense and it generally has to build up the hand for way too many rounds and be careful about it too and I’m more of a “zerg” style pilot (or just dumb or lazy (either works)).

This deck has several win conditions with hollow hounds and warsong grunts. They have warrior spells to buff up minions in the hand and discount the mana. It was fairly common deck around 1-5k legend for the last 2 months. They also run food fight to provide them with board just in case opponent refuse to play any minions.
