Hearthstone won’t run after latest IOS updates

just to notify….

I updated iOS a couple of days ago and since then Hearthstone will not run, everything was fine since then.

It seems something with hearthstone is completely incompatible with that ever the latest IOS update did. I have played hearthstone every week for years so gutted it no longer runs on the latest IOS version, hope you can address the issue ASAP.

I have tried multiple reinstallations, which seems to six it, as it lets you at least get in to the game screen, but the moment you try to actually start playing (by selecting battlegrounds or traditional game for example), the game immediately quits.

I can’t provide screenshots because nice the bug occurs it then refuses to open the game at all, so when you click the game icon it attempts to open and the shuts the game down without proceeding any further

Can you tell me what model of iPhone you have? The minimum requirements are iPhone XS for iPhone, 10th-generation iPad, 6th generation iPad mini or 1st Generation iPad Pro. If you barely meet the system requirements, this could just be the device being unable to dedicate the proper resources to the game.

Typically this is the result of low available RAM.

Can you try closing background apps and then try launching the game again?

Correct, the mobile app is completely broken for countless users, and it was fully functional prior to the release of the mini-expansion. This can be easily rectified by a single coder taking a look at the error string. The way the game crashes indicates it is not a RAM issue at all. The initial loading crash nor the repeated crashes equate to a memory dump error. Something else is causing the crashing and then cannot recover.

Vexium, no matter how many threads you reply to, your device is still unsupported. Good luck!

It is not a device-related issue. It has already affected several compatible iPhones with RECOMMENDED settings. Get lost.

If I did get lost, I could pull up a map app on my supported phone. You, unfortunately, could not.

I wonder what kind of fruitless existence one has to have to find that horribly constructed excuse of a joke funny.

The sooner this issue gets addressed the sooner I no longer need to see this bridge troll mouth off further personal attacks over… my personal non-work phone not being compatible for a year or less? LMAO.

This is a serious issue not being addressed but hey forum delinquent over here is ready to tell you that it’s not important because one player out of tens of thousands having to reinstall the app everytime it crashes because it enters a looping crash error, that one player has a device not supported anymore!

I guess your sense of humor is as supported as your phone.

Issue continues with no resolution.

You do realize that posting to these threads won’t speed them up, right? It’ll take time for them to find what’s causing the crash for supported phones. Then there’s a dev cycle to get it QAed and released. That cycle is lengthened due to it being a mobile device and having to go through app stores.

oh my god wouldn’t that be something, actually fixing a broken mobile app release

Spoken like someone who has no idea how mobile development works. Smh my head.

oh, please. it’s your job. go get another if you dont want to do it.

Good thinking! People always do exactly what you want after you’re rude to them! Why has nobody thought about this before?

A) These things take time. Especially on mobile iOS where the release process is extended by at least a few days because of the app store policies.

B) it’s a game. Why so upset over a game? There are other, better, things to do with your time.

adorable to hear you talk about being rude when literally every comment you’ve made in response to me has been either directly rude or subtly condescending. go take a hike.

I’m in Texas. It’s way too hot for a hike. I’ve touched some grass, though. Now I know a hearthstone bug isn’t worth getting impatient about. Especially when my phone is unsupported.

Do you?

Hi Ginger, I hope you have a good day!

Weird thing for a first post, but thanks! You, too!
