“Can you understand how double talk tin hat stupid you sound right here”
I call THAT rude, and I wasn’t even disagreeing with you. I was merely saying they could have done something like this. You people are actually idiots and just want to put words in others mouths to feel superior this now feels like a hostile environment. Ill see myself out and go play Hogwarts
Of course you’re going to go play a game where the central plotline is about a secret plot by the hook nosed bankers to take over the world. Of course you are.
That game is awful.
Sure, I bet you do.
But it doesn’t make your statement sound any less tin hat stupid by calling it rude.
So this whole thing was just a virtue signal boosting!
Please stop wasting everyone’s time with your dog whistles.
I need to brush up on my logical fallacies. It’s been a minute.
If I’m not mistake, that game actually has good reviews. I think I know why you don’t like it, and can agree with that, but people like the game despite it. I liked World of Warcraft (maybe still, if I played it), despite the toxicity within the company and its business practices.
With just a little bit of compartmentalization and I can enjoy almost anything!
JK believes that people spending money on her products is explicit endorsement of her views.
The lead dev used to make anti-fem and pro-gamergate propaganda.
We haven’t even discussed the antisemitic tropes.
It’s really hard to tell people you’re an ally and play that game.
The conspiracy theorist, suddenly answering that they’re playing that game.
All possible games, but they mention a game from a property owned by a person with political beliefs adjacent to the political conspiracy theorists.
That wasn’t obvious enough for you?
I thought he just wanted to be a wizard.
Well, the leader is known as the Grand Wizard…
Obviously, I know very little about this game except for what JK has become. They really didn’t bother hiding anything, huh? Maybe woke fanatics are just reading into it. /s
Hi Kills, if you are looking for an interesting thought experiment check out Newcomb’s paradox. (aka: the predictor) it shows 2 people can logically reach mutually exclusive decisions. kinda mind blowing, and makes you question the infallibility of formal logic.
catch ya later…take care my friend. ![]()
I don’t know about the word “especially” here, but mostly correct.
And here is where you get stupid. Like your critical thinking just turns off and you put on the low-level communist barnacle hat.
First off, corporations are groups of people. Which means corporations do have individuality. The demonization of corporations as soulless is propaganda. Please note that not all souls are good.
Second, let’s consider the evidence we do have on Blizzard, and not the good evidence but the bad. We know that they like having drunken cubicle crawls. We know that they are being sued for sexual harassment of women. We know that a Diablo Immortal beta testing group singlehandedly balanced the drop rates for several dungeons before the official release or the game. This doesn’t paint a pretty picture, but it is NOT the picture that you’re painting. Blizzard is LAZY evil, not try hard evil. Instead of caring deeply about the product they’re making, like they used to, they’re more focused on things that simply are not game related at all, and to the maximum extent possible they get unpaid help to do their work so that they don’t need to hire more staff and/or that staff can focus on other things, like trying to bang that redhead in marketing.
Given a good hard look at Blizzard’s faults, it DOES NOT follow that they would rig the game just because they could. Really, if you think about the price it would cost in labor to do such a thing, versus the payoff (and no, the additional payoff is NOT huge), it doesn’t make much sense for any corporation to put in so much work for so little reward, but if any corporation is going to chase that dream it certainly will NOT be Blizzard. (Maybe it’ll be whoever created Vampire Survivors, if they move on to a big multiplayer game — now there’s a dev who’s smart and hardworking and EVIL AF.) No, Blizzard is literally too drunk for that job, and they can’t actually get away with asking someone to rig their game for free without that leaking somehow. Maybe, just maybe, at Blizz HQ somewhere there’s a white board with a to-do list scribbled on it and “optimizing randomness for microtransactions” is on that list but it’s very unlikely that Blizzard has sobered up enough to have done it already.
False. What actually happened is more like: on Twitter someone asked her how it feels to have created a franchise that wants to publicly distance itself from her. Her response was essentially: I’m still getting paid, feels good lul. So it’s more accurate to say that JK believes that people spending money on her products makes JK happy.
Since when are TERFs fascist-adjacent? They’re still trying to be feminist, you know.
Y’all are coming at this game like fanatics. I’ve watched a bit of it streamed, it’s simply not extremist content.
It seems that a TERF is not necessarily a fascist, but that a fascist is realistically probably a TERF.
I think defining terms is important, and I care about this issue, but not enough to debate it here. But, if a discussion is to continue, definitions should probably be agreed upon first.
Whatever. But I think it’s ridiculous to act like JK is a fascist when that’s fundamentally the ideology she was representing with the main villain of the Harry Potter series.
Am I acting like that? Then to clarify, I think she’s abhorrent toward a minority of people (in my experience which is limited, a small minority) who simply want her to add an “s” to her “he”.
Indeed, whatever, this is a damned Hearthstone forum, and you, among others, try and take every chance to turn it into some entirely irrelevant debate about whatever is on your burner at the time.
Example: Another topic illogically arguing for rigging? Here we are.
The rigging is so incredibly obvious. I dont get how people dont see it but o well.
At least the rigging threads have disapeared, because no f2p player does care anymore and has stopped playing already.
Depends on perspective. You gotta at least see some irony in the perspective that how to nerf Construct Quarter is relevant debate while gender is irrelevant. Seems more the other way around to me.
Oh, I didn’t pick this topic at all.
It’s petty of you, then, to take a topic like this and to add your own rhetoric on to a topic that shouldn’t have been brought up, or to bring it up yourself. You know what you’re doing, and the sad part is you admit to enjoying this kind of thing. You like trolling, but try and hide behind arguments that people are probably not equipped to handle, instead of going to the appropriate Reddit, or otherwise forum, where you’ll be shot down immediately. It’s clutching at low-hanging fruit, and it seemingly (because I am human and can realize this urge) speaks to you wanting to feel superior in logic and argument (even when you don’t agree with the argument you are implementing).
I want to add, have some sincerity, and if you believe in what you say, go to a forum (and there are many) where actual people in the field of logic, go. You don’t do that and it speaks a lot about you.
Kills, you are resistant to the idea that popularity and correctness are not the same thing. That’s also true of Reddit. It’s a place where unpopular correct ideas have even more problems than usual in getting across. I don’t know if that is the kind of “shot down” you desire or not, but yes, I do not go to Reddit to disagree with people because it would be a total waste of time.
