Grimmer Patron (Solo treasure card) played in standard?

Hello, I was just wondering if someone can explain something to me. Some day ago I surrendered a game, I’m guessing on turn 5, because the opponent had 4 Grimmer Patrons that had just duplicated after they played it on turn 3. I’ll just get the danger/skill factor out of the way and say that I suck and don’t want to netdeck, I’m not asking how to beat it but just how it’s at all possible for them to play it.

The card did not say it was created by anything else and it didn’t have a rarity gem which made me think it can’t be some weird thing they added as some sort of special promotion, which I could believe since it feels like most competent players would just blame me for not being able to deal with it right away. I tried finding it in the craftable cards and found nothing, and looking at the wikis hasn’t informed me of anything adding it as a collectible card.

Was it a rogue playing a whizbang deck?

Not that I noticed, but I guess I could have missed a start of game effect thingy? Is that one of them?

Probs. The rogue version of whizbang adds 8(?) Treasures from duels into your deck.

Yes, seems like this’d be correct, surprised I didn’t see anything about this when I looked up Grimmer Patron on the wiki. As I side note, is it nice to respond like this or could you see that the upvote was from me? Seemed like enough of a reaction but realised it might be better to thank you with words
