If you acquire a regular Golden Candle in TDH and can manage to make it golden (via something like a Golden Splintergraft from said Golden Candle) the golden version of Golden Candle has no animation.

Cards that can’t appear in constructed play (Brawl and Adventure exclusives) usually don’t have golden animations. It’s generally not worth the cost to animate them all when very few players will ever see any of them in gold.

True, and it would have been neat if the treasure itself was always golden and animated. But sadly, missed opportunities to add flavor aren’t considered bugs, and adventures don’t usually receive design changes once they’ve been released. Maybe next time.
