For the love of god, PUT A CAP ON ARMOR

STOP leaving room for decks to stack LUDICROUS amounts of it

Personally, I’d be as brutal as 10. Armor spells and effects should be an occasional little boost to your survivability, NOT SOMETHING YOU CAN BUILD MOUNTAINS OF and give yourself ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD to gather resources behind

If someone gets more armor than you can realistically beat, concede and move on. Sometimes you lose games.

your opinion, not a rule

Some opinions are good. Tbh I think we need caps for a lot of things. Like I’d say we also cap damage and healing at a maximum of 20 by a single minion per round.

Armor Cap is good idea or Plate Breaker into the core set.. but none of them will be added I am affraid.

Cap on armor, limit on how many discoveries you can do in 1 turn and absolutely no cards reduced past 1 mana. These three things would make this game a lot better immediately.

Holy smokes yesssss. If I have to sit through one more zero cost card death spiral I am gonna cry.

Jk I’ll prolly try to figure out a way to beat it forget and start the whole process over again bc I am I’m crazy.

We should also limit draw.

Drawing cards is one of the most powerful tool in this game.

Nowadays, there are way too many convenient ways to draw cards for cheap.

I’m sorry, but what is the warrior class if you do that? No… I don’t know what you’re losing to with high armor, but you must be playing Aggro, or control without a decent wincon… unfortunately, and I do think this is a card game problem in general that perhaps some games have figured out how to balance better than others but, sometimes you’re simply playing rock paper scissors and that’s all there is to it. I’m actually kind of interested in figuring out a design that would nearly eliminate this problem, without being completely removed from this kind of cardplaying experience. Like Pokémon pocket, for example. That game doesn’t really feel like rock paper scissors, but it’s format is so incredibly different from this. Bro also capping discovery is wild, again like what discoveries are you losing to? The discovery Mechanic is more like a gimmick than anything else… and a card reduction mana limit just feels clunky. They really don’t need to change the system so much as they just need to properly balance it.

This is what we need. Also, ETC should be in core so we can have 3 tech cards in 1 slot. Without access to tech, the game can become scissors/paper/hearthstone.

Perhaps the real problem is how the current game doesn’t ask the problem classes to CHOOSE between building up armor AND maintaining control of the board. Warrior has a LOT of cards that turn their armor into minion-deletion (often not even sacrificing it to do that btw) which doubles as a way to transfer mana from an earlier turn to a later, mages keep spamming their usually 0-mana spell over and over while still generating and pumping out cheap deletes and all that is simultaneously charging up their nukes

I think if you’re spending so much deck space and mana on just giving yourself extra health and drawing for turns and turns straight, that should mean its HURTING your control of the board, and giving the opponent time to fill it with minions. Less simultaneous cake-having and eating.

Warrior has like two viable armor control cards… and that delete one minion card is not that crazy at this level of power creep… I don’t know, maybe Warriors super busted in standard right now I don’t know. There like one that needs to be nerfed (sulthraz), but I just think that most classes have more than enough damage to deal with Armor in wild at least. Maybe not in standard though I don’t know.

Everytime I face quest warrior, I see

Shield slam
Fortify
Shellnado
Bash

That’s four different spells for using armor to delete minions, only one of which actually expends armor to do it. Bash technically doesn’t use armor to do it, but it fits the buck of both armoring up AND deleting minions at the same time

Well.. I mean again I assume you must be talking about standard, in which case, idk maybe that’s busted. That’s hard to imagine though. Especially when things like Protoss still exist

Yesss. Same thing I said earlier. Zero cost card death spiral. As they draw their entire deck then just replace it with Kil’jadean after playing The Ceaseless Expanse. So original :expressionless_face: .
