He’s annoying enough because of all the Deathrattle spawns, but when there is not a Taunt minion he should be main priority for your minions to attack, it’s ridiculous that minions will attack everything else before him, it’s like you have rigged the card so that these ridiculous combos and keep going because you put a low priority on attacking it.
This is not just a single occurrence, every time I go against it minions do not target him until the fight is already lost.
This card was designed specifically to accomplish what you’re suggesting. They aren’t going to change how combat plays out to specifically target any minion.
It’s still quite dumb to have a card that is that OP. you see it every game and with the stack up of some deathrattles it’s just an instant win. Guess everyone who says it’s rigged is right.
As for the random attack, real odd it wouldn’t go for a powerful card, yet always attacks a minion that is venomous or divine shield. Or attack the minion with 200 HP and not kill the one with 5 hp.
What are you even talking about: there is usually only 1/7th i.e. only 14.3% probability to hit one of the 7 opponent cards and it’s actually even less initially because they may attack first.
I saw that, was trying to offer a helpful suggestion, in case someone read this and thought ‘hey, game not rigged, but how do I deal with a Rivendare?’. I realize the ‘game is rigged’ crowd doesn’t generally take any advice.
I’m not saying the game is rigged in a manner to favor a specific player to win in any given combat but the OP is 100% correct that the vast majority of the time, minions will attack every opponent 10 times without ever attacking Titus Rivendare until pretty much all deathrattles have been triggered. I’ve been paying attention to that one for a long time because I know whenever you bring up anything unbalanced in the forums, people that love to use it will tell you you’re crazy or making it up. They know it’s unbalanced as well, they just don’t want to lose it. If nobody thinks it’s unbalanced, then why is it that, since the introduction of beetle beasts, if beasts and/or undead are available in the game, four or more people in that game will be playing them every time? Blizzard is smart, they know modern gamers don’t love games where they have to think too much, so they’ve slowly over time steered Hearthstone away from strategy and more towards it being a race to the almost unbeatable play. Battlegrounds was the last area to get sucked into that but it’s there now as well.
That would be fine except, in normal Hearthstone and Battlegrounds, there is no teammate. It’s supposed to be strategy, not find out what the latest deck that’s winning a lot is, buy it, hope you win the race and if the opponent does anything that’s gonna mess up the race, sneak out the back door because people are too weak to even have the spine to just hit the “concede” button. It’s fine, I don’t expect anything to be changed and I’m not asking for it, the game just isn’t what it was that made me want to play it when I started over 10 years ago. I’ve never even posted in these forums before now but the game has changed to the point that I felt like venting. Have a great day.
