I was about to make a similar post about being able to play with friends. You currently can play with 1 friend only by challenging him (I don’t know if the post was intended for more than 1 friend), but clearly I’d love to be able to queue with multiple friends.

This is the only mode that could potentially allow us to play with multiple friends at once, which would be awesome. Similarly to constructed, there should be a casual mode and competitive mode, so there wouldn’t be an abusive way to climb up the ladder.

Would a 1vs1 mode in this game work? I can see it being kinda interesting. You can react more to what your single one opponent is doing. Or would that become to polarizing?

This would be nice. But I think this could produce some unfortunate side effects with people running multiple dummy accounts just to allow a main account an easier rank up opportunity.

While this might be nice, I’d probably never hit the button. Why lock myself out of changes when other people are still considering their options?

I think this is part of the strategy, i.e. you need to keep a space open for dumping. But I’m not sure how much it really would hurt if you could dump directly- after all, it’s already a net loss of 2 coins, so the penalty is baked in.

That’s how Hearthstone works. You need the space available to drop the minion before it can magnetize. Otherwise, Magnetize is way too overpowered.

I guess this also kind of goes to the strategy of when to level up the tavern, i.e. what new cards become available and are they worth adding them into the pool. Maybe the strat is to stay at level 4 and try to hit another Warleader.

I think this is too much information. Knowing the general strat of another player is fine. For example, if you know the opponent is running a lot of divine shield, your Nefarian hero power is an absolute must to press. But if you know they don’t have any DS, maybe you’re better off trying one more re-roll. But to actually look at their board is too much.

They are strong to be sure. But Taunt is really strong too. If their actual data shows them to be too strong, maybe they can bump those minions up a tier.

Yep. Really really strong cards here. Pack Leader, too. I think there’s some demon synergies that spiral, too.

Also some amazing results! There’s is some player agency here, though, with positioning and Taunts. Also, there’s that windfury minion that always attacks the lowest attack enemy.

Overall, the more I play, the more I enjoy it. It’s not Hearthstone, but it’s a fun game using Hearthstone cards. I’d like to see a “Casual” version without rating. I assume rating will be used for matching up similarly skilled players. I just don’t like to always be presented with how good or bad a player the system thinks I am.

I just watched my first streamed BG match, or at least 1/2 of one. I’m shocked that this is getting positive reviews to be honest. It looked monotonous and boring, but to be fair, it was only part of a battle. It seems weird that while most people dislike the RNG aspect of HS, that they would at the same time want to play a predominately RNG mode. We’ll see how it plays out.

Where do you take that? Here?

People who like or don’t care about RNG are less vocal cause there is nothing to whine about. Hearthstone (and pretty much every CCG) is RNG based.

I would like to see it slightly less random in which minion gets attacked.

The game seems to be about strategy, but its kinda hard to strategize when minions attack random targets.
Obviously taunt creatures get hit first but lets say there is 7 targets with none of them have taunt then it is a 1/7 chance it hits either creature. And really unlucky RNG can simply destroy any semblance of strategy.

MeChs r winning everygame I play. Sure momma bears are great but limited stock and hard to get. Mechs u steamroll everything early mid and late most time

Just wait til we get some Mech-Counter

again. beasts and mechs seem overpowered. if it would be possible to have atleast 1 silence spell or minion effect. still i see little choice to choose from minions.

the curator only starts with 1 amalgamem. if his power was to be to put 1/1 amalgamems on the enemy board onto empty places. thus the enemy cannot make use of multiple deathrattles and these amalgamems on the enemy board do not act. I think this is a nice idea. for this hero perhaps.

100% agree on both points.

Also, Jaraxxus needs a buff.

Overall I’m loving battlegrounds so far. Only a few minions/heroes seem unbalanced. There definitely needs to be a change in how often you get matched up with the same player. Also, as much as I like playing A.F.Kay, getting matched up against her on turn 3 and taking 9-11 damage because of bad RNG feels really bad. I don’t have a solution to this, but it does put you at a disadvantage through no fault of your own. Minionwise, I agree with most that Mama Bear is too OP. Tier 6 doesn’t seemed balanced at all actually.

Murlocs with divine shield/poison make me not even want to try to make a demon build again. No matter how well you build it, murlocs seem to destroy them.

I’m sure the rating system will change before release, but I’m not understanding when I see others playing and getting 150+ ratings increase with a win, when I’m getting 28 when I win and I’m close to their rating (currently 4900).

Other than those few concerns, the game is crazy addicting and I’m excited to see what will get added/changed. (Dragons please)

Been playing it a lot last couple of days and it feels like if you don’t have Mechs then pretty much forget it.

Played one game yesterday and made it to final 2 as AF Kay with a solid mech board. The Nefarian I went up against hadn’t taken a single bit of damage for the entire run and he absolutely annihilated me with his mech army.

I’ve had most success playing as Millificent or as AF Kay and focusing on building a mech army.

Mechs are the strongest minions, without a doubt. Almost every time I’ve won it’s been with mechs. You watch any streamer and they play mechs.

Mechs either need nerfs to bring them in line with the other “factions”, or the others need buffs to bring them up to the level of mechs.

I won once yesterday as Jaraxxus with demons, but yeah, majority of time if you play Jaraxxus and then don’t get any demons on 1st drop, you’re screwed.

Yeah mech is a bit too op at the moment. Demons is way too underpowered unless you get the luck of the gods.

Just won 3 rounds in a row with 3 different builds of mech.
First one was Deathrattle Mech with 2 Junkbot
Second was Deathrattle Divine Shield Mech + Mech samurai dude
Third was a Divine Shield Mech where in the last 2 fights i got Junkbot and just steamrolled everything. No pun intended.

Just played a match as Jaraxxus again and went demons and ended up 3rd.

Top 2, not surprisingly, both playing mechs.

EDIT: As fate would have it, just played Jaraxxus again and won with demons vs 2nd & 3rd both having mech armies!

Jaraxxus sucks. 3 cost hero power is too hard to use

It’s really not. I’ve won several games as Jaraxxus with demons as my minions.

While I won’t say he sucks.
I would say he is slightly underpowered compared to other stronger options.
I would say 2 gold for his power would be an alternative or 1 gold and only give randomly attack to all minions or defense to all minions.

Another one that needs changed is the one where for 0 gold you get 1 coin but also deal 3 damage to yourself.
This is way too much damage unless you speed run towards demon tier 5 to get the demon that makes your hero not take damage while he is alive.
That hero if you don’t go demon your are litterally killing yourself.

The more balanced heroes in my opinion is a.f.kay / The goblin that gives coin for 1 gold. And the pirate.
The rest is either way too underpowered or way too overpowered.

My feedback:its the best new game i have seen in the past few years (which does say a lot).
The rating system seems to ^&%*^$ though but maybe they will change that once it comes out of beta. The game itself however, its brilliant i can not say otherwise.
My only fear is that it will become repetitive and gets figured out quickly, but more heros and cards should make up for that.

Yeah… the ratings. Started out at 4k. Next thing I know, I’m in the low 3200s (ok, I was learning that first day). Climbing up is very hard.
