Just wondering why getting a sword that does a total of 45 damage is not enough? I think that destroying all the opponents crystals just seems unnecessarily excessive. I suppose it’ll be fine balance if all classes could use that card but they can’t so why is it doing that much? It’s quite literally an instant win and it’s really not that hard to pull off anymore. Just take away the opponents crystals removal, why is no counter play allowed? 45 damage is a wincon by itself. It’s just unnecessary. Saying “its wild lul” there is not an excuse. That’s not a reasonable power creep, that’s completely dismantling What makes this game the game that it is, or its supposed to be which is a game where each player can do things to outplay the opponent. You can maintain that and still have power creep, but this is not power. This is broken. Leaving stuff broken and writing it off as “that’s just wild man” is reckless abandonment, at best, and catastrophic greed fueled feigned ignorance and more at worst. Just balance wild. Mtg does it, wth is your excuse? They have a tremendous amount more cards to figure out by the way. I truly have no idea how you guys are still in business. It is only by the grace of God which you do not deserve that you are. It’s amazing. I’m not saying it’s necessarily all the developers’s fault but…
It’s a meme, reference to the World of Warcraft episode of South Park, I don’t think the devs thought it’d become a nuisance
Honest mistakes are fine. Abandonment is not. They need to address it.
Every one of your posts is about nerfing something in Wild. It’s called Wild because it will never be ‘fixed’. The only card that have ever been removed were cards that literally broke the game. How bout you just accept reality and dont play it if you hate it as much as your posts make it seem?
It being wild is not an excuse for being a dumpster fire. It’s lazy, and not necessary. There are people enjoying this particular service and they are choosing for some asinine reason to not provide a quality experience there so they will lose revenue as they should as a result I guess. Standard is an absolute joke and a money pit waste of a format to even try to play. So I’m about to, you know, that’s fine. I’ll stop giving them money and eventually with this kind of attitude so will everyone else. Theyre headed for the grave as a company and all the patrons can do, supposed patron, (you and other suspicious members with tons of posts) anyway can do is scoff and attack someone being upset about not running the game properly, and defend irresponsible and unprofessional behavior (and just plain stupid even from a business greed perspective). World of Warcraft has long since waxed cold, overwatch and it’s revival was basically a joke and a meme, Diablo was one of the biggest letdowns that’s happened in the gaming sphere in the last 10 years (4 AND 2), (and let’s not even mention rumble cause I know they want everyone to forget that happened, another game that objectively had no reason to fail outside of lazy greed(oh yea, and mercenaries, same thing, same reason)) and they can’t even get a simple mode in a card game right. There’s no lack of reason to be vocal and upset about the company’s obvious complete and total failures on multiple levels. They SHOULD and DESERVE to hear about it. But I guess the Stockholm here is strong. Amazing.
i would be cool with it being nerfed to 1 durability
since in south park they only needed to hit “that which has no life” only once with it
1 durability and infinite attack
15 should do plenty, plus you just need to kill 1 extra boar for a new weapon
People greatly exaggerate the power of cards that lose them the game when in reality there are a myriad of cards and events that lead to the ultimate result of a game.
No. Let me know what you’re consistently beating that deck with. I’ll wait
Complaints about the sword itself being OP are ridiculous imo. Combo decks are all the same. Combo achieved, game is over. The card that actually delivers the killing blow is irrelevant.
In a combo deck it really just comes down to what turn does it consistently win on. I don’t play wild, but if this decks average win (Initial Sword swing in this case) is 2 turns quicker than the next quickest I would agree a mild nerf might be in order.
Deck popularity should certainly play a factor too.
Except not all combos automatically end a game nor should they. Throwing the baby out with the bathwater kind of mentality. Yes generally speaking the existence of many overpowered combos is a problem, but that doesn’t reduce the significance of any of the problems that are like that (especially ones that are TOO EASY to pull off and ARE certain victory, not ALL combos are like that, most aren’t, actually.. I mean there is a handful, but still overall most card combos are not breaking the game.)
When Elywnn Boar was released the combo was harder to pull off. Now, we have Bat Mask. With Bloodbloom all the boars can be summoned in a single turn and killed off with Plague of Flames (which has always been a powerful spell for 1 mana). The combo has become too efficient.
So what is the solution? Nerf around it and put Bloodbloom to 6, Plague of Flames to 2 or 3?
Or just nerf the weapon to not destroy mana crystals so the opponent can fight back? But then that defeats the point of the combo a bit.
Yeah, those things could work, temporarily, but the thing is, is that over time with more and more cards added to the pool even if we nerfed some of those cards it’s likely the efficiency is going to increase regardless. That’s why I think that nerfing sword would be better. Because otherwise we’re going to end up nerfing more and more cards just to dance around nerfing one single card, and that just doesn’t seem right. Granted yes, I think ALOT of warlock cards are overpowered. I think it’s the most overlooked class in terms of being overpowered that the game has, quite frustratingly so as a matter of fact, and ironic, when we call out other cards and warlock just gets away with so much all the time. It’s so ridiculous probably 40% of their class cards could stand to be nerfed
They won’t nerf the sword because it’s a meme, technically it should destroy the enemy hero on face damage if they wanted to go for the full reference
I mean, ok but the game shouldn’t be balanced around memes and a TV show.. or maybe we should just call the game “southstone” or “hearthpark”. I mean, the game is a joke anyways, right?
