Guys, i’m begging you. DO NOT START HEARTHSTONE IN 2025. This game is not a card game anymore, it’s a slot machine wrapped in a Blizzard logo.

Every time you queue, it’s the same three decks vomiting the same broken cards across your screen like some cursed Groundhog Day. Remember strategy? Thinking? Deckbuilding? Yeah, Blizzard yeeted that out the window a long time ago.

The dev team’s new design pilosophy is litterally: “What if we print the most cracked card imaginable and then act shocked when it destroys the meta?”

And don’t even get me started on balance patches. They take months to fix anything, months. It’s like watching a house burn down while the fire department sends you an email that says : “We’ll look into it.” Meanwhile every ranked match feels like you’re getting mugged by a toddler smashing their keyboard and still winning because the game plays itself now.

The monetization? Pure evil.

It’s 2025 and Blizzard is still out here charging the GDP os small countries for a bundle that includes 5 packs, 2 garbage skins, and “special coin” that looks like it was made in Microsoft Paint. You might as well just hook your bank account directly into Battle.net and let them siphon you dry.

Want to make a fun deck? TOO BAD. Either you netdeck meta cancer like everyone else or you get farmed so hard the game should legally classify it as workplace harassment.
And don’t think battlegrounds, duels, or arena will save you. Those modes are also being held together by duct tape, copium, and the dying screams of players who thought they could escape.

So don’t install it. Don’t let Blizzard drag you into the 2025 Hearthstone Content Creator Depression Spiral like the rest of us.

Play literally anything else. Play chess. Play Uno. Go stare at a wall.
All of these are less painful and more strategic than Hearthstone is right now.

Save yourself while you still can if you didn’t download it yet !

The game is insufferable now. Wild is pathetic, im in legend but its disgusting.

Turn 1 my Priest opponent just had 5 pirates on the board. a 1/2 3/2 2/1 4/12/2 on TURN 1?

A few games later on turn 4 the warlock deathrattle hack deck had the 3/4 deathrattle card and 2 x 20/20 minions with taunt and 4 0/3 death rattle eggs.

I actually think i’m not out from this game. I have 20k gold

Is not now , is 5+ years the same with some exceptions . Since theres real money evolved HS must have the same regulations as a gambling game

I played at the very beginning of HS, quit after like 2 years, now came back on a fresh account and I am having the best time of my hs-life! I lose sometimes, I win sometimes, I do quests, I feel progress. If i wanna buy bundle I do cause it’s like a 4 month prepaid basically if you wanna have good time. You either accpet it or it’s not game for you. Simply ignore all cosmetics and you are fine. Unless you expect to win every match. This is not the place. Sometimes game will punish you, sometimes your skill will punish you. Overall i personaly find HS very nice place to spend some free gaming time. But ofc it all depends on attitude…

I play decks that are not popular (bwonsambi death knight, garona weapon rogue) and have plenty of fun. Maybe try out some unpopular decks to spice up your gameplay?

You know there is a tavern brawl happening now where you can try different decks of different champions of different times of HS history.

So, I (play since 2022) tried all of them…

And I was disappointed how stupid and simple some old decks were.

If you talk about the absence of strategy nowadays, you probably just don’t have any idea about many decks of the recent years. You are probably like one of my opponents who picked Starship Warlock in this brawl and thought that playing Kil’jaeden as soon as possible is a wincon.

So, the player numbers havent been this low since July 2021, clearly the power creep strategy isnt working. Time to get some better designers and / or change the bussiness model, cause whatever they are doing is running hearthstone into the ground.
