It only happens when I have either a good start or am likely to win in later stages. Three times today it happened on the last round with a great board. Twice when I had a good start. It is most likely a “local DDOS” from a player losing in the lobby and not wanting the elo loss.
It has just happened for probably the 30th time total to me since it started happening over a week ago. What really gave it away was a game where I was just beating the #2 guy over and over for 3 full rounds, where he took no damage (should have been well over 30 damage) and recruit round came back around, did the whole thing, and he came back with an upgraded board again, lost again, then again, until he ended up winning after the 3 rounds as I thought it was a bug and stopped building my warband.
Game is most likely hacked by people and it just boots everyone out whenever they want. Just now, had a pirate game going strong, with huge RNG on my side, then turn 5, during the trinket choice, the recruit timer just went on forever and was booted out after a full 20 minutes of waiting. No MMR loss.
