I went from D5 to final boss last night, 19W- 5L. Wasn’t able to quite finish it, will try again today.
Using Herenn DK with Eliza. It’s a really fun deck that can compete for board and have some lasting staying power. Herenn is the power card and can just win the game on T7-T8 but there are many other ways to fight for board with Eliza buffing all minions’ attacks up for eg: Ghouls’ Night.
I think you have to play wild for legend if you use mage. I have heard players can hit legend with mage in Standard. I say, better them than me. No way I’m subjecting myself to what it requires. I’m retired, but I’m not investing the time it would take me. The dragon mage deck is too weak.
I’m currently at diamond 1 in standard with aggro Demon Hynter. I’ve been one win away twice and will hopefully still make it.
I’m at under 200 legend in wild with a combination of discolock before its nerf and pirate demon hunter. I’ll likely try some other agressive deck next month. Pirate demon hunter seems to be a pretty poor match-up against top 100-type players.
I hit legend on 5 or 6 november. Climbed D5 to D2 with Krona druid (deck wasnt very good, but it was good against quest lock who was popular). And D2 to legend with mecha warrior.
I hit legend by going quest hunter until diamond 5 and then a garona aggro rogue build to reach legend 4000. I’d have probably played discover hunter or aura pally if i had all the cards for it. i tried messing around with a mech pally deck but i guess im too dumb to really tune it to be viable
Good Grief - Finally made it to legend in standard, playing aggro demon hunter. Was 1-4 when i needed to win one game to get to legend (you need just one win of course). My last session I went 3 out of 5 vs warriors to make legend (one dragon warrior and 4 quest warriors).
I can’t say aggo demon hunter was any fun. I wanted to play dragon warrior but couldn’t make it work - I was right at 50% with it and I lost most of the mirror matches (one of my measuring sticks for how well I can play a deck is the mirror matches; other folks understood the deck better than me) .
I am on a 15 game losing streak across multiple decks, days, and formats. I lost four in a row this morning and just turned off the game.
I am unsure what the issue is, but I suddenly cannot draw cards and my opponents have become grandmasters. It is not even as though they are playing difficult lists to beat, my opposition just happens to have everything going correct and I do not.
Incidentally, have they (or some of them) got battletags like AdjectiveCreature#[twelve or so numbers]? For example, ColourAnimal or whatnot, and really long numerical ‘tails’, unlike regular people with four-five or so?
These Doom Bli$$bots, as I’ve dubbed them — a working title, if you will, — can be quite something.
