I guess the last one they did on here didn’t get enough hits? Idk. It’s on reddit this time, make sure to check it out if you want to drop some questions.
I am hoping its just their schedule for Q&A’s - hold one on reddit, then a week or two later, hold one here.
Probably a wish in one hand a crap in the other scenario given there hasnt been a dev comment here in almost 2 months (if they wonder why they get a lot of flack when they do post, THATS THE ANSWER!!!), but I can dream.
I wouldn’t expect another Q&A so soon after this one, but otherwise, yeah. I hope they’re planning on alternating between Reddit and the forums, and not just give up on the forums entirely (again).
The last one here came a couple of weeks after reddits (just damage control imo after all the negative feedback they got for not using their official forums) so I dont see why its too big of a stretch for it to happen again.
Not that I expect it, they continually make it quite clear they are not interested in communicating here, but I am hopeful.
Especially if they plan to hold it on the Community subforum again (which makes to most sense, tbh). As critical as I am of them using Reddit, even I would probably wait for the censorship stuff to die down a bit. At it’s absolute worst, this forum was a Blizzard shrine compared to the Community forums since the art changes.
well we know they are trying to reach as many people as possible
and this forum doesnt have as many active posters as reddit not even close
Dean Ayala himself said that your claim is false last year - what happens here inevitably makes its way to reddit, while the opposite is not true (paraphrased). Hell, its been 5 [expletive] days since they announced it on reddit, yet its only in the last 24 hours we HERE were made aware of this Q&A and not from a Blizz rep, but a community member.
FACT
Piss poor excuse
They will reach MORE people posting it here, even if it is held on reddit. Dont even try to defend it Mr. Pedantic, its fact as the devs themselves acknowledged a year or so ago!
“Hey guys we have a Q&A being hosted on reddit next week. Don’t post your questions here, we will provide a link to the reddit thread for the Q&A when it is created”
Took me less than a minute to type!
Part of the problem is that the folks at Blizzard take a more liberal view of “customer communication” than we do, IMO. It appears to me that when they post a blog, they consider that the same as posting to the forum here. It’s all local Blizzard fan communication from their point of view.
Someone ask why they’ve allowed the game to be bad so long and why they don’t respect the player base.
It seems so.
Yet it also looks unprofessional as a company as well.
but it is the official site ive seen this many times too they post on https://playhearthstone.com/en-us/
and people on the forum refuse to use it when making topics about whatever they announce there and link to reddit or other sites instead and pretend they didnt use an official site to announce …which is weird because they link they use have playhearthstone as a source !

they already forgot they have a forum xD

There’s no mention of the Q&A on that page either. What was your point again?
Hopefully someone asks how they plan to ensure that future expansions don’t leave several classes on the unplayable trash heap.
you probably havent noticed it
but every time they announce something like nerfs buffs card reveals in game events and they post it on playhearthstone for some weird reason people here refuse to link to it and link to other sites using playhearthstone as a source instead
and then complain about them not using the official site …
I’ve noticed it (because those sites they link to are usually pulling it from playhearthstone lol) but in this case, there really hasn’t been an official announcement. Usually they’ll at least drop something in the cesspool Community subforum, but nothing at all this time.
Good point. I look up patch notes on the official site though always.
The question is why they don’t announce their reddit Q&A at least on their official site or the forums? It’s not that hard to create two posts. Nothing learned from their last Q&A where this point was adressed and acknowledged. All talk and no actions.
It’s a simple thing for them to announce it here and creates a stronger and overall more enthusiastic community. I just don’t see the downside, why they don’t pay attention to this stuff?
Mike Donais held a couple of twitch streaming sessions recently, and there was no announcement in these forums. More missed opportunities.
Maybe they view their forum community as so toxic that they don’t want us to show up lol
