I made a thread about this and it flopped. Was hoping to make it again and request you guys’ help.
Black Friday is at the end of November, so if Blizzard moves to organize one for us Hearthstone players, they’d probably need to do it fairly soon. I was hoping you guys could form a discussion here about it so maybe the Bliz folks who run Hearthstone will notice it.
I am not asking for anything excessive or unreasonable. I was just hoping for a week at the end of November where a very large bunch of hero skins get in the shop for a total of like a week. I doubt Bliz will want to discount Hearthstone runestones and such.
Maybe also, they could make some pack bundle deals, since these do get offered from time to time. I don’t mean something monumental, I mean stuff like Bronze, Silver, Gold bundles in the shop – which get offered anyway, though maybe they could offer a broader variety of choices for the sale week.
Selling some skins and maybe pack bundles for one week won’t set them back, it’ll just sell more skins and pack bundles. This already gets done, though on a small scale.
There is a giant number of skins, and very few rotate in every Tuesday and Thursday. They are typically not expensive, so I don’t think anybody in the community will feel excluded by a paywall, and I think everybody here has a particular hero skin they like but never got a chance to get.
Card pack bundles are much more common than a given skin, but I have to reason that if they weren’t popular with the fanbase, they wouldn’t be offered.
In my case, what I am hoping to get – someday – is Venthyr Liadrin skin for Paladin. I’ve been camping out every Tuesday for literally years now for Venthyr Liadrin, and it’s never offered.
Sales of this sort are good for everybody. The best example is in Overwatch, there was a Breast Cancer charity drive for one week with a beautiful skin for the character Mercy, it was not offered again until the whole community collectively lobbied for it for literally years and another Breast Cancer charity was organized. Millions were made for cancer research, and everybody who wanted the skin could finally get it. The fans were happy with this.
Cosmetic hero skins are not pay-to-win, they simply look cool. And Hearthstone skins, with some few exceptions, are reasonable in price, so it’s more or less dropping the price of a McDonald’s meal, or even less, for something you genuinely like and will use.
If you guys want some particular cosmetic or other, or maybe a pack bundle, please let’s form a discussion here so maybe Bliz will notice it.
I can’t be the only Hearthstone player who wants a particular skin. Any help keeping this thread afloat would be greatly appreciated. And hopefully that’ll keep it on top and visible so Bliz will notice it and we all will get something nice and affordable at the same time.
