I’ll start this off by saying that I’m more of a casual player that doesn’t pay any attention to competitive/tournaments so idk how relevant this card is, but regardless I want to make my feelings about it known. I believe the mage protoss minion Colossus in its current state is simply far too strong and should be nerfed. Having its battlecry that deals damage to the whole board and your hero activate twice while simultaneously having 9 attack is pretty much a checkmate with little to no counterplay; and it only gets worse when factoring in the ability to return the card to your hand and replay it. I’d suggest changing its ability to only activate once (possibly with a damage cap but not necessarily) and to lower its attack to 5 or 6. If there is actual counterplay to this that I’m not aware of (aside from simply winning quickly) I’d also like to hear about it.
Inb4 drone swarm calling you noob because the deck is low WR.
Colossus is an unfair card and they are not gonna do anything because it will rotate out in 3 months.
It was always too strong since created but the devs didn’t do anything to it.. and now the rotation is near.. I think it will stay that way.. mindless card design.. but not the only one.. the game is full of it.. when something trigger twice.. that is already bad..
I don’t think you realize how badly it loses to warrior and rushdown. You can also mess it up with dirty rat. I’d argue the deck is actually weak because you’re not guaranteed to get enough protoss cards for colossus
Colossus isn’t the problem with protoss mage, it’s the constant armor gain that allows them to stall
Both of them are problem.. they stall Armor to let Colossus trigger and OTK..
All this is true but its a very unfun deck to play against, so I sympathesize with the OP. I also agree with those who say its a dumb, lazy design. As rotation is coming up (and as its not a dominant deck in the meta), I’m pretty sure nothing will happen and it will just rotate out, hopefully never to be seen again. Even so, I’ll be annoyed when I have to play against it too, even if I’m likely to win.
