Cheating Mage Wild Deck- Never ending Spellcast/invulerable

I just played a wild mage deck that combined Galactic Projection Orb, Potion of Illusion, Ice Block, Grey Sage Parrot, and Ignite to create a never-ending cycle that cannot be beat. It’s basically cheating. They can never be killed; they keep cycling endless cards into their deck, keep freezing and hitting all my minions, and keep duplicating the card over and over. Looking at the recording of my reply, we went 20 turns before I quit. It was going to take this fool another 10 minutes to kill me, and the match was 35 minutes long. I couldn’t hang in there.

This deck is crap. Patch that nonsense. Reply included

No cheating happening. They just use creativity to create a looping combo. Just need to use a deck that isn’t super greed and lethal them before they assemble the exodia wombo combo or you can use a dirty rat and rat out the parrot so they cant keep comboing or you can Theotar their Galatic Projection Orb before they cast it.

There are soooo many counters to ice block available in wild. These types of decks are annoying to play against, but any kind of tech in an ETC ruins them once you know how to play against them.

Old hostage mage lasted forever before the devs eventually decided to shake up the meta by nerfing Rommath. The replacement version is nowhere near as good so doesn’t see much play and therefore isn’t annoying as many people. I doubt it’ll see a nerf unless some new card comes out which makes it bonkers.

In any case though, using cards to do what those cards were designed to do isn’t cheating.

Either this is part of the 90, or a 1 time rage post

40 card protoss rogue is not something I thought I would see today

I have never lost to this deck. I have also never played it. Too slow.

Neither has anyone else, and it’s been killing.. except for this match.

It’s not cheating. Also Ice Block spam Mage ain’t really new.

It amazes me how many people come on here and say something along the lines of “my opponent played cards, those cards did exactly what those cards are supposed to do,” and then call them cheaters.

Blizzard devs doing what blizzard devs do…no thinking involved.

I play this deck and this is the only way to survive in wild mode when you face all the other classes.. if you think this is cheating just tell me what class you are playing.. Is Warrior not cheated when they kill you turn 5 with canons ? Is warlock not cheated when they remove all your cards with tick tock ? Is priest not cheated when…. Well I can give you more if you still think Orb is cheating, then it should be number one on HS stats with an insane winrate..

Mage is trying to survive nowadays

After they nerfed Rommath I was expecting a shudderwock nerf as well.. once per game .. but it didn’t happen..

Anyone who thinks the card designers don’t have pet classes, think again.
I say card designers because they ran off all the actual developers years ago.

Shudderwock isn’t doing anything like what hostage mage did. It actually kills you. It’s also easier to disrupt since so many of the pieces are rattable.

It’s also nowhere near as popular, which seems to be a factor in their decisions.

Theotar and other hand disruptors are useful while we wait for nerfs, but as a rule Hearthstone should never allow the same plays to be repeated over and over infinitely. When discovered, those combos should be killed with fire. Otherwise, why have card limits at all? Just let people have 30 of one card if they want.

Galactic projection orb combo is still more “healthy” than shaman shudderwock who can activate reno lone ranger and mutanus the devourer and combined with 2x battlecry from heropower(quest) and/or shudderblock for 3x battlecries

Guess you never experienced the Shudderwock infinite loop combo
