Bibliomite. HS has lost it's collective mind

Mallenroh, you should really consider playing arena atm.

The power level is so low with the sets being tgt, naxx and gvg

Bibliomite is indeed strong in the early game, especially when the DH has magnifying glaive to compensate for the card shuffle. A good strategy is to bring enough early game removal and have enough mid to late game cards to out value the DH in the long run. I know, it is hard. I’ve lost a couple of games against aggro DH, but I’ve also squeezed a couple of wins too. It’s tough, but I believe you’ll get there. But still, having terrible draw against perfect draws is another thing.

The problem was they ran out of ideas after the first 5 expansions so they went on to the power creep plan instead. Notice how there wasn’t that much power creep in the first 5 expansions compared to just the gap between the last 5 expansions. They still had ideas then besides just power creeping everything. Wonder what was different then…

If I knew how to draft better i would consider it. Otherwise it is a gold loss for me.

Huh? So if a player shuffles back in a card that they were never going to be able to play on turn one or two, you think that’s a huge downside? They’re getting a turn one or two 5/4 on the board and all they had to do was shuffle a card back in the deck that they couldn’t have played anytime soon anyway

Then again this game is overrun with aggro junk like this right now. Turn 2 and there’s already 10/10 worth of stats on the board

I tend to agree with this. I fail to see the huge drawback to this card.

It’s a drawback in that if they have an answer to your 5/4, you basically have no cards in hand and put yourself in top deck mode which can be a death sentence in this meta.

Dh has insane card draw now days.

I agree with Storm. Isn’t DH’s draw far better than it used to be?

The reason a 0 cost 6/6 is rarely an issue is that often it doesn’t cost 0 until turn 5 whereas being free at that point is not too important and only exists in wild where there are infinite cheap board wipes, I even removed a few of the minions in the end to make way for more secrets/burn spells. I don’t even have the modern secrets deck anymore since I never picked up Madness cards and I don’t have Nathria, I got rather sick of the archetype, but I did almost win 1000 games with secrets mage.

Yah, the current iteration of DH card draw can more than make up for the drawback. It’s still a huge drawback if they don’t happen to get any of their card draw, and the opponent has an answer for it.

I’d say once we hit the point where they straight up print a 2 mana 5/4 with a drawback where 95% of the time the drawback doesn’t matter, then we can really get up in arms about it. Bibliomite is pretty crazy for a 2 drop but as you’ve already said, everything is powercrept to the max, so no surprise.

There are worse things to run into in the first 3 turns, like a priest cheating out Neptulon. Gotta love it when they bring Wild garbage mechanics to Standard.

A terrific example of exactly what I am complaining about.
Neptulon by turn 3 simply goes too far.
Idk that Team 5 will ever feel the way that I do, but I don’t think I’m alone when I say that this game needs to be toned down.

the shuffle a card into deck mechanic could be a boon. you can shuffle in something you don’t want to be stolen by theotar. i use the 0 cost spell that shuffles card for +3 attack in fel DH to pocket jace if i think theo is coming.

Yep, dispose the evidence is good for shuffling Big DH minions back into the deck for Proving Grounds.

Hey so i just encountered a Biblomite at round 2 i think and it’s so op please nerf it acording to it’s cost.

Yeah they could have at least changed the rarity… lol… common rarity is just silly. I just encountered him on turn 1 due to the coin. Due to my flop I didn’t take him down until round 5…. Which I somehow almost came back from. But in combination with the weapons being played I dropped a little too quickly. If it was even just turn 2 he came out and/or I had actually got a nice flop things would probably have gone differently.

That said this card is definitely not the first on my list to nerf- but it’s certainly not a “common” level card. But hey, you can create your own for really cheap.

You know exactly what he is talking about. He doesn’t need to post more examples of how badly overtuned cards are. Come back and participate after you put your thinking cap on.
