Currently, players in Belgium and some other country’s like the Netherlands are unable to purchase the battlegrounds season pass because it includes “battlegrounds Tokens” (the hero rerolls), which conflict with local gambling regulations. While i understand the need to comply with local laws, this has created a significant gameplay imbalance. As a Belgian player, I am restricted to only 2 hero choices at the start of a match, while other players in other regions can access 4. This is a direct competitive disadvantage that makes the game feel unfair to the Belgian community.
I would like to ask if there are any plans to implement a solution for this. Specifically:
- A “Pass Lite” for restricted regions: Would Blizzard consider offering a version of the season pass that removes the reroll tokens but keeps the 4-hero slot and cosmetics?
- Separate Purchase: Could the “4-hero choice”perk be sold as a standalone seasonal upgrade that does not involve any randomized or “reroll” mechanics?
I love battlegrounds and want to support the game, but the current situation makes it difficult to play competitively. We would love to have a way to access the full experience while respecting our local laws.
Is there any update on whether a regional fix is being developed?

I completely agree with this.
As a Belgian Battlegrounds player, this is exactly the issue I am facing as well. I have been playing Battlegrounds since the beginning and always bought the Season Pass whenever it was available to me. I would still gladly pay for it now, but there is simply no official way to do so from Belgium.
The main problem for me is not the Battlegrounds Tokens or rerolls. It is the 4-hero choice at the start of the game. At higher rating, this makes a real difference. I recently reached around top 300 in Europe, and not having access to the same hero choices as players in other regions feels like a direct competitive disadvantage.
A Pass Lite without tokens, or a separate way to unlock only the 4-hero choice, would already solve the most important part of the issue while still respecting local laws.
I have also contacted Customer Support about this, but they confirmed that they cannot unlock, grant, or escalate this manually, and recommended posting feedback on the forums instead.
I really hope Blizzard can look into this, because Belgian players are willing to support the game, but right now we simply cannot access the same competitive experience as other players.

Same here, i often start with only 2 choices and both are mostly C or D on HS deck tracker, on more than 80 games i didn’t had a B or A so it’s very hard to get above 5k, a game must be equal for all players, or everyone can only chose from 2 or everybody can choose from 4 heroes, it’s that simple.
