So I noticed that about 4 to 6 players in Battlegrounds solo are bots, which is not as frequent in duos it seems.
(I know they bots cuz I got them 10 games back to back)
So normally I am 13000-15000 player (duos last 3 seasons)
Is it matching me with bots so I am not starting ranking vs new players, or is it like that all the time?
Is it filling bots cuz low number of players? Or it’s more or less normal to have 2-3 real players and 5 bots?

Another odd thing I noticed, or maybe I just never knew, some of the bots sometimes have names of real players, even my friends who are playing a different mode while the bot is in the game.
So is Blizzard using names of real players to fill the lobby with “real player” look alike?
It feels very fishy, like are we playing battlegrounds with mostly robots? I don’t recall it being this bad a few years ago.

These are not bots, it seems that there is a problem and the usernames are disabled from being displayed, you can confirm this in duos, interacting with your partner.
Even if it has a generic name it will act like a human.
No, every single player I have gone against in the last 2 games are bots, I know this because I know the names. It’s looks like the beginning of BGs 0-1000 are Blizz bots and also can’t be reported.

Even if it were true. Does it really matter? You should be destroying those lobbies and get away from them quickly.
You are 13-15k rating, and see bots every lobby? Never seen a bot, but I am below 10k, at your rating you will face the same players over and over, as long as they are playing.
Okay so here are my observations and evidence for nearly every player in battlegrounds being a bot:
This season going from 0-3300 in the first day (mosty first place)
- Identical names no matter when I play, none of them can be added or reported
- Simple google search says that Blizzard does fill lobbies with bots for “better curve experience”
- Same name pattern, HiddenPants, SwankyPants, SwantyOrk, QuirkyOrk ect, capital letter, capital letter (some of those match real players that I know from duos that were already in a different mode)
- Not a single player except me would emote in any game
- They also all play like bots, I had fights with players that would not adjust or adapt to my board in any shape
- Asking other experienced players they say it’s mostly when starting at lower rating ranking up
So I am guessing of your hidden ELO is high, most of your opponents are medium difficulty bots in battlegrounds until you get to your “bracket”
I am just not sure if it’s like that for all players ranking up to mid rating, or they just remove high hidden elo players from the lower brackets.

I could be wrong but i don’t think they are saying they see Bots at 13K+. I think they are saying they are getting bots when the new season starts early on. That could be the case early on if there are not enough players for a lobby at the moment and the system is setup to throw them in to get the match going.
They also said their rating was from Duos and not Battlegrounds. It could be the case the system sees them as a new player and is giving them bots early on.

I was 8k rating in normal bgs before reset. I haven’t seen a real player from 0-2000 one person emotes but all the names are generic so its definitely a glitch with social tab interactions.

You would think so. Unfortunately, you may not get the cards you need for synergy. You can lose even in a bot lobby.

They are scripted boards that high roll and sometimes even cheat this season. I went against a 2 minion tier 2 on turn 2 bot enhance-o-mechano yesterday. The murloc board bot is pretty close to impossible to beat in the lategame.

The Murloc build is 100% not a bot. That’s a legitimate build because they made a mistake in allowing a certain spell to bounce back golden cards creating an infinite loops. It’s the Mama and Papa build with the cousin. Once you have a Brann it gets nuts. I built a turn 10 build with them yesterday using Golden Brann and had 5 minions over 3.5K each easily. I was eventually beaten by a more ridiculous elemental build with minions in the 30-40K+ range. I didn’t have enough scam to get over the DS on them all.
That’s not hard to do with the right hero.
This is normal for the first week of BG’s. It’s just dialed up larger this time than normal. There should be a balance patch early next week to address most of the outliers.
It was enhance-o-mechano. It’s doable with Snake eyes, Ngyuen, Prestidigitation but definitely 100% impossible on mechano. Also yesterday i ran into a turn 5 tier 5 A.F.Kay
You cannot post player names. It’s against the TOS. That’s why it got flagged and removed.
Except they are not player names, they are bots.

You cannot post names regardless of whether you think they are or aren’t. Look i didn’t make the rules that’s the rules they set and one forum posters have to follow. Someone didn’t like that you did it and flagged it and the moderators thought it broke the TOS. That’s it basically.
I once got banned from the forums for 10 days for suggesting that Hearthstone is the same as an establishment that has slot machines in it. Except i used the proper name for such an establishment and that’s all it took. I got a 3 day ban for posting card priviews because a certain forum regular vocally doesn’t like it being posted in multiplayer if it’s already in one of the other forums.

I would need to see the specific game to see the Enhance play you are talking about. The AFK is fairly common play especially if you hit economy on the tier 4 minion.

ive read there is a bug making so your player name shows up as one of the defaults for other players
They were not players, I already explained above, too much evidence

Got same issue here ! Get BOTS as allies, for example: Mutanus who 1st turn eats his only minion. I have other examples as well, its full of those bots on low MMR.
