Im sure ya’ll have had this come up but im not going to search for it. Do you hate the battleground only players? I dont like regular hearthstone mode. I dont want to buy packs with my 22000gold. If the occasional hero skin for a 1000g isn’t a slap in the face then i’m lost on that concept and I apologize. Why do keep on giving us gold as if its some kind for reward for completing various tasks? How about bringing back the battlepass gold purchase or at the very least let us buy some rerolls.
because its a company that wants to incentivize people to become paying customers. The gold is there for you to use it to your heart’s content until you run out and need to use runestones or IRL money to get what you want out of their game.
I aint never seen anyone complain about walking into a Chuck-E-Cheese’s and whine about needing to spend IRL money to play the arcade games even if the games only take in store tokens. I dont get why folk seem to think the digital playplace that is the Hearthstone platform (Standard/ Wild/ Tavern Brawl/ Adventures/ Battlegrounds/ Arena/ Mercenaries) essentially a centralized hub of different arcade games to play all made by Blizz. Its already great they offer it all up for free to play in the first place.

Actually your analogy describes precisely what your own self-imposed issue results from. Chuck-E-Cheese does indeed give you tokens to use within their business at the arcade games and machines. But you would refuse to use said tokens on the arcade because you cant use them to play the only game you play. (Ordering the pitchers of beer)
You are refusing to play any other mode of Hearthstone because you dont want to play any other mode than BGs. So the currency you are accumulating is only an issue to you because of that self-imposed issue.
