Hello, I find it quite strange that we can’t access the Battle Pass in certain countries given the 2018 loot box laws, and I consider it a bug.
- The Battle Pass is not a loot box compared to Hearthstone cards and packs, hence the misunderstanding (which is against the law).
- The Battle Pass is obtainable in Diablo 4.
- It’s possible to purchase skins in World of Warcraft and items via the Auction House.
- The Battle Pass is essential to obtain the four heroes, hence the gameplay problem (doing without it is detrimental).
But you can replenish your Battle Pass account and purchase card packs or skins.
I’m offering a solution that might be worth implementing.
- To stop purchasing this seasonal pass with tokens, or to find a solution to obtain the four heroes that are essential for gameplay.
- That you can purchase Battle Passes via Battle Pass or through Runic Points
- That gifts be accessible to friends who wish to offer them in our countries
- That it becomes accessible to all 4 heroes through challenges without the skins
- That it can be purchased from a Battle.net store without this restriction
I repeat that the Battle Pass is not considered a loot box compared to the HS card pack
There are several solutions available for obtaining it; it would be a shame if it remained on inaccessible tokens…
Also, after discussing with a Game Master, he advised me to post this and that the more views and responses I get, the more the issue will be reported and considered a bug.
Thank you to the community for supporting this request to finally have our Battle Pass legitimately available.

This is simply outrageous and ridiculous Blizzard.
Even with the patch of today you didn’t fix that problem.
Just remove the reroll token from it for countries where lottery is forbidden by law. We wouldn’t care not having that part and still pay the same price for the Battle Pass.
There is at least 4 countries where we can’t purchase the Battle Pass.

Belgian here, I don’t care about the rerolls, I just want the cosmetics and the four heroes choice.
Just make it so that we can’t buy tokens and redeem them from the battlepass, I don’t care about it

I just found out that we can’t have the battle pass anymore? I mean whattttt. This has nothing to do with gambling. I just want my 4 heroes to play battlegrounds. That is all. Blizzard is paywalling it and then making it unobtainable for us? Always screwing up lol

It’s a simple fix. They can make a Battle Pass without the token for the countries forbidding them, we would still buy it at the same price.
This is unacceptable.
Here to see if it is a bug or the decision was made on purpose for some reason.
Still no alternative? I guess they just dont care… too bad though, could be so easily fixed…

i have been logging commect in a support ticket trying to explain them to remove the tokens for a pack which is allowed by the gambling laws but the dont seem to understand.
They keep putting comment which is very vague and contains no answer at all.

This is even worse now with the buddy meta. I can’t believe they don’t listen to us, no communication, nothing. We are clearly disadvantaged now but god forbid that I can roll heroes WTF.

I completely agree that gambling is a plague and not easy fixable.
However the battlegrounds perks should not even be considerd gambling in the first place because you can actually see what you are getting.
If its just because of the reroll tokens just remove them for the country’s that have this law.
Battlegrounds became unfair to play with just two options to pick for. The price of the season pass is so much worth it! The reroll tokens doesn’t matter at all too me I never used them anyways.

→ It means, you can be the most unluckyiest guy ever, not a gambling, not a gacha
→ Belgium is a great country about that, cry more
→ If blizzard said: “reroll one of the most played hero” or smth like that, it’s fine
