Using Aranna into Acupuncture causes the other player to take 4 damage and voids the 4 damage we receive but doesn’t redirect it to a random enemy. 8 damage total should be distributed but only 4 is. This has happened multiple times now on multiple games.

I don’t quite understand the question. Why should 8 damage be diverted. Only the damage your hero takes is redirected. The enemy hero takes the 4 damage as normal.

How do you interpret that?
4 damage is dealt face by the spell
4 damage is diverted/redirected by Arana
4+4=8
8 damage is distributed amongst the ennemies

What’s being reported is that Arana only negates the 4 damage dealt to yourself instead of redirecting it
Ok thanks for the clarification. I just tested it and it works as you described. Maybe the hero was immune and that’s why the damage wasn’t redirected?
