Another great example of a dev team with “overwhelming experience” look at their game critically and make virtually every worst decision. Quests were out for like a month? And now we’re shifting to “anomalies” which are not unique or interesting…. Like who decided “oops all beasts” was the play? Who wants to sit in combat for 3 hours because all 8 people are forced to build death rattle hell? Giving everyone 10 gold at turn one?? Screw a steady pace let’s just give everyone dynamite and crack. It truly feels like these devs are operating in a steel box where their own ideas are the only thing said or heard.

stop ruining battlegrounds!!! every update is so freaking overwhelming with changes and major impacts to gameplay. What about improving character balancing awareness? would be nice to see changes on each card and what cards got added / removed for the actual race u play. this anomalies crap is the worst… there is no chill in this game mode anymore

Pretty fun but the games still end way too fast. Before you could get into the high teens turn wise with regularity and now you are lucky to get to turn 8 if you have bad luck and even then maybe turn 10 if you are doing well. I don’t mind a game ending if I’m just getting bad cards but it feels like 90% of games are over before they start with no chance at buildup.

It’s awful. Even worse high roll or get rolled nonsense, far less sense of agency, and it removed a lot of fun synergies, leaving awkward and disjointed tribes in its wake.
Battlegrounds seasons are always 4 months. For years now they’ve done something at the halfway point of a season to shake it up. Quests were this season’s refreshener, just like in the past when time we had quests, or the darkmoon faire, or buddies, etc. Quests were out for 2 months, and were guaranteed to leave with the new season. It’s been the same pattern for at least 2 years now, at least. You may have totally valid complaints about how anomalies are working, but if you don’t know how the seasonal rotation works by now, that’s a huge pinch of salt applied to the other things you’re saying.
