The resurrected Al’ar doesn’t retain the buff granted from " Tell a Story". Although I think it happed with just “Tell a Story” for me but I think it would also happen with other buffs from the Tavern too.
Unless otherwise indicated, minions that die lose all buffs. The Al’ar resurrected is a new Al’ar with no buffs.
In adventure reborn minions do keep their stats/cost . I did played a zapomatic with 5 4 against mortuart machine . Minion died but kept buffd

Thats right. Its not exactly a spell buff. I think it creates a new card just like a Zombeast. Plus the card text reads that it will resummon this minion and not resummon Al’ar.

This its how giants and conjurer calling should work . But idk why devs dont make it like this
