Add Recently Played (Battlegrounds)

Recently Played

We usually had a recently played area in our friend invites. We don’t get that for Battlegrounds anymore. This means we can no longer add new people we have faced against (or with).

Suggestion

I suggest reviving this idea, and maybe making it even better by allowing users to make their profile public (meaning their full BTag would show all the time), allowing people to add you if they wish. Potentially even adding a way to chat in BG lobbies.

Toxicity

I understand this feature may introduce behaviours like adding your opponent/temmate to offend them. Honestly, though, if they accept the invitation, where’s the harm in some friendly banter?

New Friends - Community

Hearthstone is experiencing a decline, at least in my experience. A big part of this, for me, is that it’s no longer fun to play without a good way to create new friends, build communities, and share experiences. We have plenty of other games where we have team/all chats, recently played, voice chats, etc. which can be used negatively but are overwhelmingly good for creating new bonds with people who also like playing the game.

Let’s face it, you’re not playing battlegrounds at 8pm due to your big list of IRL friends… I think this would positively impact Hearthstone in many ways. Giving us a way to add users we played with/against, and perhaps more features that allow chatting in lobbies, and creating bonds.

Please add a better way to communicate. The skill cap for solo players will raise quite and give them a better chance against people who may be communicating through voice. Honestly will make it much more enjoyable as a whole too. Just add a mute button. It seems as it’s more leaning towards just not wanting to put the time into managing a non-toxic system rather than it being a better experience for players. Because let’s face it, I’m sure at least 80%+ players would prefer to have it. Maybe not against opponents, but definitely for anything duo/co-op oriented.

Totally agree! I find myself only playing Duos with my IRL friends and it’s only because I can talk to them.

I’d love to also have a way to talk (maybe just text), or at the very least add as friends, my opponents as well because I’ve had many situations where I would have loved to be able to and I’m sure it happened in the other direction.

But I totally agree with you, at the very least, having that ability for anything co-op / teammate-based would be crucial.

As for dealing with toxic members, I mean yeah, muting should be a thing like we have squelching. There shouldn’t be more to it than that.

I’m not sure this is just a battlegrounds thing. Recently played with doesn’t seem to be showing for me at all, even for regular Hearthstone. Is it just me?

No, for me it doesn’t show in constructed either
