Patch 36.2 is here! As a reminder, this will be our Highlights and Known Issues thread for the whole Escape from Violet Hold cycle.

Please find below some of the issues we’re tracking, with updates to follow as we learn more.

We deployed hotfix patch 36.2.1 earlier than originally intended to address a bug causing memory issues on our servers; please follow this link for details.

• [Bans] These will be added to the drop-down menu below (the list is also mirrored here). If your Arena deck contains a banned card, you will need to retire it manually (your ticket should be refunded).

Hearthstone Standard/Wild Bans

Battlegrounds Bans

• Trinkets: Minion Bait, Tiger Carving (Lesser + Greater), Maxwell Sticker - Greater
• Anomalies: Unforeseen Portal

Arena Bans

Note: If your deck contains a banned card (you will see it with a reddish hue), you will need to retire. You will receive the rewards obtained until that point, and the cost of the run will be refunded to you. The Tickets will be added directly to your account.

Tracked Issues

• [Web] BG Leaderboards display Season 20 as default & incorrect name for Season 12 in some locales.

• Multiple cards have lost their golden animation.

• When Violet Punisher steals a minion’s Divine Shield, it does not trigger effects from losing Divine Shield.

• [Mercenaries] Multiple Hero skins and cards show white art.

• [Solo Adventure - Book of Mercenaries] Players can’t complete the Puzzle 6/8 Oink Thousand Truths.

• [Hearthstone] Annihilation will incorrectly only summon minions if there is space on the board when used.

• [Wild] Mind Sweeper does not trigger when paired with The Harvester of Envy card.

• [Solo] Book of Mercenaries - Dawngrasp: Onyxia of the Void - Challenge (6/8), puzzle #6 can’t be completed.

• [Solo] The Boomsday Project: The Secret Lab - Clear Dr.Boom cannot be completed.

• [Bug] Players that had golden trial cards in their deck did not have decks replaced with non-golden owned copies after trial period expired. Deck slots show grey while the missing card is still occupied. Player work around is to remove the grey card and replace with the card if you own it.

• [Translation] Minions Boneshredder (Festival of Legends) and Sawbones (Escape from Violet Hold) have the same name in the Italian translation.

• [Achievement] Playing Hero’s Welcome doesn’t progress the achievement “The Gang’s all here”, or other triggers using the Discover mechanic.

• [Cosmetics] C’thun cosmetic coin is missing its golden animation.

• [Hearthstone - Escape from Violet Hold] Rampaging Hound’s minion type is, currently, Beast - should be Elemental Beast.

• [Battlegrounds] The Minion Bait trinket can show conflicting descriptions when Lesser Fortune is active.

• [Battlegrounds] The effect of Sous Chef Sticker doesn’t stack.

• [Arena] We’re investigating reports of game freezes if Jotun, the Eternal draws a spell with Herald in Arena.

• [Hearthstone - Collection] Twilight Father Benedictus is missing the correct Hero Power sound.

• [Battlegrounds] While in the tavern, Mooneater’s Champion can incorrectly buff other tavern minions.

• [Hearthstone] Deathwing, Worldbreaker’s frame is misaligned (Signature version only).

• [Battlegrounds] Scarlet Survivor may not gain or keep its Divine Shield when triggered by some hero powers (ie Deathwing / Rokara)

Im having some kind of weird bug on mobile. I have a 3 loss reward chest pop up that is empty and I have no way of getting past it to play the new event stuff. Im on android and the chest is from right before the update I played a bad mage deck got 3 losses in a row and now it just pops up congratulations with a chest thats empty and no way past it. Plz fix it. I have already cleared my phone cache and even re-downloaded the whole game and its still popping up.

I have the exact same same issue on Android mobile. Got a empty chest, but still got rewards, (after i restartet the game) but old exp packs, i Played before update, i have opened them, and the new from, the crono event, that got released after update… but i am stuck at a empty chest now to, and cant get passed it.

I have a reward chest that is empty and prevents me to play the pre release brawl. i have already recieved the rewards from my previous brawl, but now i can’t start with a new deck. i think the game started to update as soon as i claimed the rewards, but the animation of the chest hadn’t started yet. please fix, i also tried to uninstall and reinstall but the chest is still there

I have a bug where I try to play the pre-release brawl and i am stuck on a congratulations screen showing a chest. I open the chest and nothing ever comes out of it and now I cannot play the pre-release brawl at all because the screen is stuck and there is no way to bypass it or stop it from occuring. I have tried switching regions, restarting the client, logging in and out, and on mobile and PC. Both have yielded the same result. I am barred from playing pre-release tavern brawl and I can’t do anything about it. Is there anyway to fix this?

I had a card chosen for the brawl that now is banned from the brawl so i cannot continue my run or edit my deck. It was the paladin murloc quest.

What about the issues that existed before the patch? I, like some others, never received my two packs for 10 wins (the “Choose Your Champion” sub-requirement). And no, the answer that “It only worked in Standard” doesn’t count — it’s explicitly stated several times on the website:

Want a bonus you can count on? Lock in 10 Ranked wins during the promotional period & earn 2 more Lost City of Un’Goro card packs!

Go all-in? Extra bonus! Win 10 Ranked games during the promotional period & earn 2 additional Lost City of Un’Goro packs!

Additionally, players who win 10 Ranked games in Hearthstone during the Voting Period will win an additional two card packs from The Lost City of Un’Goro expansion.

The conditions are written three times, and not a single word is written about the fact that this is only about the standard mode, and the wild ranked wouldn’t count.

Issues with hero skins:

1.Diamond Genn Greymane appears blurry/jagged on mobile.(Alternatively, all Diamond skins appear blurrier on mobile devices compared to the PC version.)

2 .Arachnid Kerrigan’s in-combat avatar background incorrectly uses regular Kerrigan’s purple background on mobile and is missing its unique arrogant head-shaking entrance animation.

Thank you for your hard work. The display issue with Diamond Genn Greymane has been fixed, but the bug with Arachnid Kerrigan still persists. Please resolve it as soon as possible.

My phone models are: Samsung S23, S25U, and iQOO Neo10 Pro+. I’ve asked several friends, and they have also encountered this bug. Therefore, I suspect this bug is widespread rather than limited to specific models.

Did a mage draft in underground arena.

After that I pressed “play” and it said “the selected deck is not valid for this game mode”. I checked my deck and the card “hidden objects” is marked as banned. How can I fix?

Alternate Reality doesn’t seem to be working in the pre-release brawl. My cards got discounted but not transformed.
