Patch 35.4 is here! As a reminder, this will be our Highlights and Known Issues thread for the whole CATACLYSM cycle.

Please find below some of the issues we’re tracking, with updates to follow as we learn more.

Tracked Issues

• [WILD] Golden Cho’Gall, Twilight Chieftain’s related Anomaly cards granted at the start of the game appear with Regular card frames.
• [Hearthstone] Bashana Runetotem is sometimes giving 11 mana worth of spells instead of 12.
• [Battlegrounds] Attack bonus granted by Timewarped Jungle King is incorrectly overwritten by Banana Slamma/Slamma Sticker.
• [Darkmoon Faire Treasures] When all items are unlocked, the “completed” checkmark is positioned behind Alexstrasza’s portrait.
• [Shop] We have received reports that purchasing the Golden Class Set bundle doesn’t allow to purchase the standard one (“Purchase failed: You already own that product” error message). We’re investigating.
• • [Update] This seems to be only occurring when the purchase is done with Gold.
• • [Update 2.0] We’re working on a fix.
• [Collection] Stormpike Expedition Tavish skin can’t be set as favourite (or removed from that list).
• [Cosmetics] Duality Azshara portrait can change to Lord Slitherspear when defeated.
• [Hearthstone] T.N.T. from Boomboss Tho’grun can target the same card more than once.

35.4 Resolved Issues

• [General] Grey screen on login/error starting the game: we’re investigating. If you’re affected, please add your game logs into this thread. Thank you!
• [Hearthstone - Casual] Players are sometimes unable to start a match in the Casual game mode. We’re investigating the reports.
• [Tech] We’re investigating reports of high CPU temperature after patch 35.4 on some setups. If you’re affected and using a PC, please consider turning on ‘Efficiency mode’ (Right click on your task bar → Task Manager → right click on Hearthstone → Efficiency mode) to alleviate the symptoms.
• • [Update 2.0] We’re working on a fix for both PC and iOS users.
• • [Update 2.1] We’ll be deploying an emergency hotfix today; please read here.
• [Hearthstone] If a Dragon Soul Essence automatically casts an adjoining Essence, that information is not displayed in the history tile.
• [Arena] Treasure Hunter Eudora’s quest is not completing.
• [Hearthstone] Upgrading animal companions in Standard beyond 10 cause one of the upgrades to become a cardback in the history tile, then upon another upgrade it goes to 1. We’re investigating.
• [Battlegrounds] Cowrie Necklace does not reduce the cost of Wave of Gold.
• [Collection] Mathias Shaw Diamond Hero Skin: Blades clip with portrait frame.
• [Hearthstone] The Signature version of Twisted Monstrosity displays incorrectly after an effect transition.
• [Hearthstone Achievements] We’re aware of an issue where players cannot complete the Cataclysm Neutral Collector achievement even though they own all Neutral cards. This will be fixed in an upcoming hotfix.
• [Shop] Some normal packs are not available in the in-game Shop.

Im having some kind of weird bug on mobile. I have a 3 loss reward chest pop up that is empty and I have no way of getting past it to play the new event stuff. Im on android and the chest is from right before the update I played a bad mage deck got 3 losses in a row and now it just pops up congratulations with a chest thats empty and no way past it. Plz fix it. I have already cleared my phone cache and even re-downloaded the whole game and its still popping up.

In arena i choose mage and pick his quest. Card for 2 mana hidden objects don’t discover a card. And that card not triggered quest. "Because of that, I lost the game, and I’d like to ask for compensation — two arena tickets that I spent

I have the exact same same issue on Android mobile. Got a empty chest, but still got rewards, (after i restartet the game) but old exp packs, i Played before update, i have opened them, and the new from, the crono event, that got released after update… but i am stuck at a empty chest now to, and cant get passed it.

I have a reward chest that is empty and prevents me to play the pre release brawl. i have already recieved the rewards from my previous brawl, but now i can’t start with a new deck. i think the game started to update as soon as i claimed the rewards, but the animation of the chest hadn’t started yet. please fix, i also tried to uninstall and reinstall but the chest is still there

I have a bug where I try to play the pre-release brawl and i am stuck on a congratulations screen showing a chest. I open the chest and nothing ever comes out of it and now I cannot play the pre-release brawl at all because the screen is stuck and there is no way to bypass it or stop it from occuring. I have tried switching regions, restarting the client, logging in and out, and on mobile and PC. Both have yielded the same result. I am barred from playing pre-release tavern brawl and I can’t do anything about it. Is there anyway to fix this?

I had a card chosen for the brawl that now is banned from the brawl so i cannot continue my run or edit my deck. It was the paladin murloc quest.

What about the issues that existed before the patch? I, like some others, never received my two packs for 10 wins (the “Choose Your Champion” sub-requirement). And no, the answer that “It only worked in Standard” doesn’t count — it’s explicitly stated several times on the website:

Want a bonus you can count on? Lock in 10 Ranked wins during the promotional period & earn 2 more Lost City of Un’Goro card packs!

Go all-in? Extra bonus! Win 10 Ranked games during the promotional period & earn 2 additional Lost City of Un’Goro packs!

Additionally, players who win 10 Ranked games in Hearthstone during the Voting Period will win an additional two card packs from The Lost City of Un’Goro expansion.

The conditions are written three times, and not a single word is written about the fact that this is only about the standard mode, and the wild ranked wouldn’t count.

Issues with hero skins:

1.Diamond Genn Greymane appears blurry/jagged on mobile.(Alternatively, all Diamond skins appear blurrier on mobile devices compared to the PC version.)

2 .Arachnid Kerrigan’s in-combat avatar background incorrectly uses regular Kerrigan’s purple background on mobile and is missing its unique arrogant head-shaking entrance animation.

Thank you for your hard work. The display issue with Diamond Genn Greymane has been fixed, but the bug with Arachnid Kerrigan still persists. Please resolve it as soon as possible.

My phone models are: Samsung S23, S25U, and iQOO Neo10 Pro+. I’ve asked several friends, and they have also encountered this bug. Therefore, I suspect this bug is widespread rather than limited to specific models.

Did a mage draft in underground arena.

After that I pressed “play” and it said “the selected deck is not valid for this game mode”. I checked my deck and the card “hidden objects” is marked as banned. How can I fix?
