Suggest to the devs to make the 12-win arena exclusive skins from previous seasons obtainable.
For example, as of current, if you get 12 win first time, you obtain the current season skin of “Old Ways Ulfar“. Then the next time you get 12 win, it should give you a missing skin from previous seasons (i.e., “Spectral Ner’Zhul“ as of now). And then giving the 2 golden pack after you have all 12-win arena-exclusive skins.
It seems the devs are planning to rotate to a new 12-win skin every expansion. It is really hard for any one to keep getting a 12-win within every expansion window (~4 months), given how hard it is to get 12 wins and how competitive the underground arena is.
I really wish the devs can consider making this possible so that these 12-win skins are not time gated to a very short period and there is no way to guarantee obtaining it within the time window.

+1. I am a returning player who primarily plays Arena, but because the new skin has been released, I am unable to get the Shaman one.
i like your idea of incentivising people with 12 wins multiple times to then be able to win older arena skins

Would Arena players be upset if a skin wasn’t tied to 12 wins?
I think the concept of hero skins in Hearthstone in general is way too much FOMO. If you came to the game late, like I did, you’re much more likely to get a chance at a new skin than you ever are to a skin that gets re-released in the shop. And if you want something, you’d better get it, because it’s doubtful you’ll ever get another chance. This is because there’s a huge amount of hero skins total, and very few get offered in the shop at a given time.
There’s a particular one I really hope to get someday, but I’ve been waiting for a chance at it for four years now, and no dice. This newest event that gives random skins DOES give you a chance at it, but realistically, that chance is very small, and I personally didn’t get it.

Agree that there is too much FOMO for skins - especially in this case the arena 12 wins skin.
It’s one thing if they put a skin in the shop for 2 weeks and people who miss it can no longer get it (still sucks if people take a break from the game etc.), but to get 12 wins in Underground arena is very difficult, so it seems unfair to timegate the skin.
It seems like with recent events they are open to offering us the chance to get some older skins a bit more which is nice - I just hope they can rethink the strategy around the arena skins.
Also, people would be more engaged if you get 1 skin for 12 wins, but then have another chance to get a skin for another 12 win run. This would surely make more people want to play arena?

I think tying it to 12 wins is fine if evergreen or multiple opportunities to get the skin. 12 wins is pretty hard to achieve in the new underground arena where resources are even more limited, so to timegate the skin makes it even less achievable. This is without even considering if people take a break from the game or that do not have enough gold to enter enough times for a 12 win run

it would be nice, but maybe they are taking inspiration from WoW. I think in WoW PvP arena seasons the highest ranked people get transmog which they can get later on in later seasons maybe? not sure? but i think there is an exclusive mount each season that can’t be got later.

I’m not too familiar with with WoW but it would be great if they did an update so that once you achieve that season’s skin, rather than being offered gold packs you can get a random previous season skin

It sounds like a good idea to me. I did think it might incentivise players to buy barcode decks so they had a better chance of getting 12 wins, but obviously getting the skin for a barcode account isn’t the same as getting it on your main account.
So yeah. Sounds good.
However, I guess people could spend huge amounts of cash on arena tickets so they can get it for their main account, and that if anyone wants to do so, Blizzard will happily take their money.
I don’t play much arena, so IDK how much of a problem barcodes are right now.
+1 any news about it? i really wanted that skin, only to found out after 12 wins i got the current skin of Ulfar.. i thought i had it ! also its not easy to win 12 wins. i had to spent alot tickets on it.
so getting the retro skin for another 12 wins, would be great
I’d only add it as an option, because some players might rather just have more gold rather than another skin they won’t use.
