What does it mean when a player has a 12-digit battletag #? I just played an opponent whose number was that large? Is it a real player or something else?
it means they are cheaters, duh
On mobile if you aren’t logged in or signed up the game will still start at the beginning with a random name and a 12 digit battletag.

This sounds like it could be part of the answer, but this was a legend level matchup, not something at the beginning.
The progress is still saved it doesn’t reset everytime but you can only play on that device until you sign up.
