What counts as a control skill?

Hello I was curious what skills count as a control skill? I know this usually relates to knockbacks and stuns, and Potency-related skills, but what if it is a dps heavy skill that has slow, chill, or stun? Would the Blood Knight Abomination → Shattering Fist count as a control skill? I want to use this magic secondary but don’t know if it’ll help shattering fist:

I can’t include the link for some reason but, it’s the magic secondary that is called Restrain: Control Skill cooldown recovery rate increased by 0.65% for killing an enemy player or 10 monsters.

In your skill selection bar, there is some clear information above each of the skills you have selected - Whether damage, control, dash etc etc

If you click through all of your skills on the left, all of the defaults show and any that are control by default and whatever else they do, some having more than one function. That said, be aware that some gear can say something like “You can now do ….”. I say this because for example a channeled skill can easily not be channeled by a choice in a change of gear, same with control and other skills. Being aware of your gear choices is useful

If a skill is greyed out it means you either have two pieces of gear that say “now…” instead of “also…or ‘now also’” or another piece of gear has cancelled the default. You can scroll through/down in any skill you have chosen.
